After that, dead silence settled down around us like a thick coating of paint. We stood there, not saying anything. My averted gaze slowly looking around the room, and I wasn't too sure what Dave was doing.

I eventually sighed, this tomfoolery wasn't going to get us anywhere.

"Look," I mumbled, sticking out a hand.

"I'm sorry, just. Augh, I'm annoyed.." I murmured. I soon felt a hand wrap around mine in a handshake, then my hand going limp and falling back to my side.

"Let's just try this again," I said, closing my eyes and presumably looking at Dave.

"Ready?" His voice asked, I then nodded slightly. I then heard a faint 'wait' and two hands on my shoulders. My body then swivelled around so I was probably facing fully towards Dave.

"Ready?" I now asked, my eyebrows raising in question.

"Ready." He said. My eyelids then flickered open.

My eyes instantly focussed on his face, and the deaths, as usual, appeared in little bubbles around his figure. I tried to focus in on one, but alas, it wouldn't work.

I groaned and closed my eyes again, my hands moving to the hair on my head and pulling at it.

"Why. Won't. It. Fucking. Work." I said, tugging at my hair with such force that I began to feel pain in my scalp.

"Calm down," I heard Dave say, unclamping my fingers from my hair. I then frowned.

"I feel like and angry toddler," I said in a pissed off tone.

"Well, you're certainly acting like one." I heard him mutter, I then hissed.

"Says the boy who won't ever take off his sunglasses, what colour even are they? Blue, green?" I said. I felt my hands get dropped to their sides, and I heard Dave sigh.

"You don't even remember what colour my eyes are?" He asked, I then sighed.

"Well, uh-"

"It doesn't matter anyway, just." He then went quiet for a little while, it seemed that something was on his mind.

"What's wrong-"

"Nothing," he said clearly, as if he was hiding something.

We then stood there in silence, almost as if we couldn't speak to each other. Our voice boxes just broke, and we couldn't communicate.

"I," I started, but stopped mid sentence. I then sighed, for the like 500th time today.

"I'm sorry," I mumbled, moving forward somewhat for a hug.

I eventually felt his body, and wrapped my arms around his torso.

After about 10 seconds, he hadn't hugged back. So I backed off.

"Dav-" I started. I then heard a slight shuffling of shoes, then two arms wrapping around me. I was taken aback slightly but smiled.

"You're such a fuckin douche bag (F/n) I swear to god," he mumbled into my shoulder. I then smirked.

"I can't really help that," I replied, I then felt him grin into my shoulder.

"I hate you,"

"Same here dear,"

"Now, would you want to try this thing again. Without either of us fucking up?" I asked, I then felt him nod.

He left my body, and it felt like a part of me was getting surgically removed.
