Tuesday

Jack sat on the railing of one of the Pole's balconies watching the sunrise yet again. He hadn't seen the moon since he heard Manny say Sunday. He couldn't help but feel a little bad for Manny, him and the moon had talked a little since becoming a Guardian but not a lot. Did it hurt Manny to see this happening or was he just another spirit to him? None of this really made sense to him and unlike everything else there was really no one to explain it to him.

"Jesus, Callahan wasn't kidding when he said you get into your own head." The russian accented voice from beside him made him jump. He didn't think he could get any more surprised by the people visiting him but he was proved wrong. The girl beside him had long braided hair with very recognizable blue eyes. He had seen her picture in North's office and deep in the forgotten rooms with his past. This was Natasha, North's sister.

"Ahh, with that face I can tell you recognize me." Jack nodded. He took a deep breath before turning back to the rising sun. He also noticed how she was still wearing old russian bandit clothes. Did they stay in the same outfits that they passed in? He knew the story of how Natasha passed from the flu, which they didn't know was a thing back then. It was common for people to die in the harsh winters with no medicine back then.

"So am I going to visits from everyone's family except my own until Sunday?" He couldn't help the bite in his voice. It slightly hurt to not see his own family. It helped to see them yeah but it wasn't the same.

"Yes. Your family moved on Jack, they went to the real other side. And you're not dying, Cal told you that yesterday."

"Yeah he also told me I may be gone more than seven years is that true?" She looked at him with a blank face. She hadn't really watched anyone throughout her years, only checking on North every now and then. It was when she heard Elenora talking about a new Guardian that she started looking into it more. She noticed the pull Jack had on everyone with his personality. She had two options here: continue telling Jack what Callahan was saying before Nick stopped him or change the conversation.

"I don't know. But I do know that it won't seem that long. I can't really describe it." The glow from the sky was keeping him calm. He could feel the ice spreading down the balcony he was on down to the windows below. He knew it would get North's attention so he would come looking for him.

"So, who is keeping you from telling me everything?" He copied her blank face as he looked at her. Jack knew that there were some secrets that needing to be kept but he was tired of this one. This was happening whether he liked it or not so he wanted to know. Natasha couldn't tell him without giving away who was next on the list of people coming to see him before Sunday. They had decided to do this day by day before Sunday.

"I can't tell you." She winced when his eyes went a dark blue and the wind blew harsh around them. The windows behind them groaned with the pressure of the new harsh wind. She had done it wrong. Callahan had told them all he was getting brighter by the day but none of them had listened. The ice from his feet and hands was spreading faster than she could comprehend. Her savior from the past had now arrived.

"Jack? What are you doing out here?" Jack's head turned sharply towards the door that had opened before the ice could cover it. North stood in the arch way of the balcony doors looking at him with worried eyes. He couldn't help but look down and the new dark ice around him. The wind was nearly blowing North over with how strong it was. He took a deep breath as he tried to bring it back in.
