Today's Flower (Saito Shimaru)

'....How did I get here????' Shimaru looked around at the unfamiliar surrounding.

"Ah, you're awake mister police?"

A woman with (H/C) hair and (E/C) eyes suddenly appeared before him.

Shimaru froze in shock.

".....A-Are you okay?? Did he go into shock?..." (Y/N) worriedly whispers, then she grabbed her phone.

"S-Should I call for a doctor? No! The ambulance— Wait, what if he's dead already? The police?....Ah, maybe I should call Uncle to get rid of the body...."

Shimaru panicked and hurriedly brought out his sketchpad to calm her down.

"I'm alive and I'm fine."

"O-Oh, that's good..." (Y/N) sighed in relief, "I'll go get some snacks for us then~" She then exits the room without even introducing herself leaving Shimaru more confused than ever.

Shimaru looked around to find any clues as to where he was— the room was very large, the doors to the outdoor hallway was open showcasing a splendid view of the garden.

'Where am I?...and why does the back of my head hurt??' Shimaru thinks to himself as he rubs the back of his head.

Suddenly, (Y/N) returns with a tray full of snacks and tea.

"My maid took a day off today, and my Uncle wants me to limit the people around me..." She shyly laughed, "Ah right. I forgot to introduce myself— since you were asleep when Hijikata-san and the others brought you in." She paused and cleared her throat, giving him a small, gentle smile she places a hand on her chest politely.

"My name is (Last Name) (First Name). You're Saito Shimaru-san right, my temporary bodyguard?"

".........."

Shimaru's mind went blank.

'(Last Name).....Isn't that from the Matsudaira-san's Maternal Family... then she's....'

"To put it simply, I'm Matsudaira Katakuriko's niece." (Y/N) smiled, "Please to meet you!~"

'This is.....THAT BODYGUARD ASSIGNMENT??' Shimaru's eyes widened in fear when she said so— and realization had slapped him in the face.

Shimaru lifted a hand to hold his head, when memories had suddenly flooded into his mind as if filling a gap.

"Yamazaki." Kondo spoke with his hands connected before his mouth, a serious face— for once— plastered on his face.

"No," Hijikata sternly replied with a short shake of his head. "Too boring for her."

"...Sougo?"

"Definitely not," Hijikata fiercely shook his head, "He's too sadistic for her. She might be traumatized."

"Then.....me?!"

"Nope," Hijikata looked at him with a bored face, "Kondo-san, you're too....gorilla for her."

"Then, what do we do Toshi?" Kondo sighs, "Pops said we need a bodyguard for her by tomorrow!"

".....What about Shimaru?"

"...Shimaru?!" Kondo placed a hand on his chin and thought deeply, closing his eyes. "Wait....That's actually not too bad." He nodded.
