LEAVING YOUR LIFE BEHIND•••
TAYLOR"SHIT. IT'S FUCKIN' LOCKED."
Daryl groaned, tugging on the door handle of the front door to Taylor's home.It had only been a full day since the downfall of the C.D.C, and the redneck and young teen had finally made it to her home, upon her request the other night.
Once the caravan had made it a few miles out of the explosion, they decided to take camp for the night in a quiet office building somewhere along the streets of Atlanta.
It was in there that Rick told them thst the new plan was to go along with Shane's idea of heading down South towards Fort Benning.
He warned the group that it would be a long journey, and that there would most likely be many walkers in between them and the fort, and how they needed to be ready for a fight.
That's when Taylor spoke up, "I need to go home and pack then if we're leaving. Daryl can take me.".
The redneck furrowed his eyebrows at her statement, "Oh hell nah. It's too far away, yer gonna have te make do.".
Rick cocked a brow, "Why do you need to pack? Don't you already have everythin' you need?".
The young teen shook her head, "I never got to pack before evacuation. All I had was a kitchen knife; ask Carol, Lori, and Shane.".
The ex-sheriff turned to his wife, "Taylor came from school during evacuation. Like she said, she never got to pack. The poor girl didn't even have shoes on.".
"I can't imagine I'll be home for a very long time, maybe even never again. So please, let me go home. Let me pack up anything I need. Me and Daryl'll be back within a day; promise." Taylor looked between the Dixon and the ex-sheriff.
Rick ran a hand over his stubble before nodding, "As long as Daryl's fine with it I don't see why not.".
The redneck scoffed, "Fine. We leave at firs' light; but no draggin' yer ass when we get there. Ye get what ye need an' we leave. An' only take what's necessary. We don' need the extra fuckin' weight.".
