Jada~

I drag a blanket into my office with me as I decided I'd just work here today. Well, it was Camille's idea, actually. She was adamant about me staying home today.

We're at a point with the store where we're selling everything we have and not restocking anything. We just have so many pieces that have been lying around for the past few months that we decided to do a whole new restock for the upcoming holiday season.

It's been a couple of weeks since the Dodgers won. Everything has been fine so far. I call Camille from my laptop as I stir my coffee.

She answers, "Hi. Morning."

I smile, "Morning. You have a helper today?" I ask as I noticed Corey in the background.

"I was dragged in here," he tells me.

"Quit being a baby."

"What's your plan today?" Camille asks me.

"Answer a few emails. That's about it."

"Where's Christian?"

"I didn't see him yesterday. He was doing something with his mom."

I see Christian calling me. He never calls me this early. "He's calling right now. I have to go."

"Okay. I'll talk to you later."

I hang up on her as I answer Christian, "Morning."

"I'm outside your front door."

"What?"

"Like right now. Come open the door."

"Okay?"

I leave my blanket on the chair as I jog to the front door to let him in. I should just give him a key, shouldn't I?

"You have to change. We have fifteen minutes before we need to leave."

"What is going on? What are we doing? Why are you being weird?"

"You asking questions is going to get us nowhere. Go change. We're going to go do something."

"Okay, I guess," I say as I go into my office to grab my phone and close my laptop.

"Is there a dress code?"

"Comfy and casual." So leggings and a t-shirt.

"Where are we going?"

"Somewhere fun."

I find a pair of black leggings, "Why are you being secretive?"

"Will you let me do something nice for you?"

I put a sports bra on before putting a Brewers t-shirt on since I'm running low on clothing. Laundry hasn't been my priority lately. "Is it cold out?"

"Bring a jacket with you."

I put socks on before finding my Nike's in my closet. He follows me into my bathroom as I go through my earrings. I've taken the ones Cody got me out of my ear. Even though I loved them and they reminded me of my mom, it felt wrong wearing them since an ex got them from me and I'm in a new relationship.

I put some gold hoops through my ears. I guess we're rocking a no-makeup look for whatever we're doing that seems incredibly urgent and unplanned.

I lean on the counter as I face him, "What are we doing?"

"Me to know, you to find out."

"I got no good morning. I got no kiss. Nothing from you. I'm not leaving."
