I See You Y/n | Neteyam x reader

Chapter 9

*Neteyam POV*

Lo'ak and me stormed off after y/n left. I do not want to speak to him right now. I just need to speak to y/n. In fact im going to go look for her, I call my ilu and connect before going to search for her. First I check our spot but no luck, she wasn't there. Then I checked round the underwater reef incase she went for a dive but again, nothing. 

I came to shore and began to check on land places, I check the beach and nothing. I checked her hut and she wasn't there. 'Where could she be?' I thought to myself. I found Tsireya walking on the bridge so Call her. 

"Have you seen y/n?" I asked her but she shook her head. 

"I haven't seen her since this morning. I'm sure she is around here somewhere, if she doesn't want to be found you wont find her. And she walks off. 'Well that was great help...' I thought to myself. But what she is saying is true, y/n clearly didn't want to speak to either me or Lo'ak so i'll leave her to think. 

Ive spent the last few hours trying to distract myself but I can't get y/n off my mind. Lo'ak walks into the hut and hisses as he walks past me then sighs. 

"Look I know we're not on good terms right now but have you seen y/n? Has she spoken to you yet?" Lo'ak asks.

"No I have been looking for her all day but can't find her." I replied.

"Same, I can't find her either." he said. 

"Maybe we should leave it for the morning, she clearly doesn't want to talk to us?" I suggested.

He nods in response and lays down.

I spent all night worrying about y/n. I just need to speak to her. I didn't wake up until late today because I barely slept through the night. 

I leave the hut and start to wonder the island for a while and keeping an eye out for y/n. I see Tsireya and wave, she looks upset. She runs to me and says "Neteyam have you seen y/n? She didn't come home last night."

I immediately start to panic "No I never found her yesterday when I was looking."

Tsireya leaves and runs to her father and he begins to run into the opposite direction when she speaks to him. Aonung, Lo'ak, Kiri, Tuk and my mother and father join Tsireya and Tonowari. 'Something isn't right' I say to myself.

I run over to see what Is happening. They all look worried. "What is going on?" I ask them. They all look at each other then back to me.

"Y/n has been missing since yesterday. no-one has seen her or heard from her, she didn't come home and this is not like her at all"  Aonung says.

Shit.

"Well we need to find her! Let's split up and start searching"  I say to them all. The horns blow to announce the disappearance of y/n and everyone starts to look for her. 

*A few hours later*

I got paired up with Kiri to look for y/n and we can't find her anywhere. We were searching the water and Lo'ak and Tsireya come over to us and ask if we've had any luck finding y/n but we haven't. Neither have they. We all agree to head back to the clan to look there again but as I turn my ilu to leave Kiri taps my shoulder. "Neteyam look over there" and she points far into the ocean. There is a small dark spot floating on the ocean, it is too far to see what it is so I say "Lets go check it out" to Kiri and the others. 

As we get closer the spot starts to get clearer. I tell my ilu to speed up as soon as I realised what it was. I leap off my ilu and hold onto her. "It's Y/N!" I shout to the others. They all speed over faster and join me on the rock. "She is still breathing! Lets get her to Ronal now!"

I climb back onto my ilu and speed through the ocean to get y/n to Ronal. 'Please be okay' I tell myself over and over again.  

"You're going to be okay y/n, we will get you home." I say to her.
