* a week later*
Tomorrow is the day we finally get to go on our baby moon. Theres been a storm so we haven't been able to travel to the forest until now. Ive been sitting on the beach and watching the water then Lo'ak sits beside me.
"I reckon it's a boy" he says.
"I've honesty got no idea" I say.
"Neteyam still thinks it's a boy" Lo'ak says.
"He will probably change his mind again by next week" I say laughing.
"True" he laughs.
Our headsets go off and its Jake "Family meeting, including y/n"
Me and Lo'ak look at each other confused then he gets up and laughs at me as I try to get up.
"Help me skxawnd" I hiss and he grabs my hands and pulls me up. I swing my tail and knock him over and I walk away laughing. He catches up to me and chuckles.
We get to the hut and everyone is waiting anxiously. Me and Lo'ak walk in and they all look at us then to Jake. Neteyam gets up and stands besides me with his arm round me. No way am I trying to sit down and get up again for 10 minutes.
"We have had a call from Norm back at home and your grandmother, Mo'at, she isn't doing so good, we need to go visit her before..." he says.
"Oh grandmother" Kiri gasps and covers her mouth with her hand.
"When are we going?" Neteyam asks and Jake responds "Now"
Everyone gets up and starts getting ready to leave and me and Neteyam walk to the hut to get ready too.
"Looks like baby moon is coming a day early, sorry my love" he says.
"Neteyam, you saying bye to your grandmother is more important than some little break" I say and hug him.
"I'm so lucky to have you" he says kissing my head.
I smile and grab his hand then lead him to the ikran where the others are waiting.
I call toruk and within seconds we hear him skwark and lands on the sand nearby. I climb on and Neteyam says "Are you sure you'll be okay on your own?"
"I'm a mighty warrior remember? i'll be fine" I smile and he gets onto his ikran.
We all lift up and start the long journey to the forest. Me and Lo'ak race part of the way and then Kiri joins in. I feel the baby kicking as I fly and I chuckle to myself.
"You're going to love flying little one" I say to my belly.
After a couple hours we make it to the forest and land just outside the forest. We all get off our ikran/toruk and start walking through the trees towards the clan. Since I killed Miles the clan could return to the forest and leave the base in the hallelujah mountains. After a short walk we start to hear na'vi.
We arrive at the clan and they're all gathered in this cove looking place filled with a tree that the leaves dangle low and glow a bright white colour. Everyone turns round and looks at us. We make our way through the crowd and everyone seems to be staring at me and. Neteyam grabs my hand and leads me through the parting na'vi. They whisper among each other and then someone says "It's the new toruk makto! She killed the sky leader!"
They all kneel and I smile awkwardly at the gesture.
"She also carries the first Omaticaya and Metkayina mix baby!" someone else says and they all start whispering again.
We continue to the tree and see a lady laying down on the rock the tree grows from and she is covered in white thread things. Roots?
"I am here mama" Neytiri says and sits down next to the lady.
"This is my grandmother" Neteyam says.
He leads me to the lady and says "Grandmother, this is y/n, my mate, she is pregnant with your great grandchild"
Mo'at weakly holds out her hand and I nod my head as permission for her to touch my belly.
She whispers to herself and then her arm drops weakly to the rock she's laying on.
"Rest mama" Neytiri says and we all sit round her and everyone takes it in turns to speak to her. The clan chant and move in sync as Mo'at says her goodbyes to her family then she puts her hand on my belly again.
"Beautiful" she says then gasps and the tree dims.
"Whats going on?" I ask as the tree dims and everyone stops.
"She's gone" Neteyam says and holds me.
Neytiri starts to cry and Kiri. The rest of us are in shock. I didn't think it would be this soon, no wonder we left straight away.
We spend another hour or two at the forest then Jake says to us "We need to go before it gets too dark, We will be back in a week to send her to eywa"
We all nod and head back to Toruk and the ikran. We connect and climb on then lift up and start flying away form the forest. Tuk clings onto Neytiri as she sheds tears for her mother.
The journey is silent and no one makes eye contact really. They are all grieving. The baby kicks me and I groan. That hurt more than normal. The next half hour consist of hard kicks and pain.
"What are you doing in there?!" I say to myself.
"Are you okay?" Lo'ak asks.
The pain doubles and I lose focus so Toruk starts to fly unsteadily and I hold on tight.
"Y/n?" Neteyam worries.
The pain stops momentarily so I refocus and he flies steadily and then another shoot of pain spreads in my body. Toruk loses control and I direct him to a nearby rock safely.
"Y/n?!" Neteyam flies fast after me and lands shortly after me.
He lifts me off toruk and sit me on the rock and the other land.
"What's going on?" Kiri asks.
The pain shoots though me again and I shout out in pain.
"Mama" Tuk cries and runs to Neytiri.
Neytiri passes her to Jake and she sits beside me. She asks if she can check me over and I nod in pain. She feels my belly then another shoot of pain and I scream and grab Neteyams hand.
She looks down at my area.
"Ma Jake, call Norm, the babies coming" Neytiri panicks.
