40 Serenade

When Yuna woke up the next time, a tray with a full menu stood on her table. She sat down and ate slowly. It seemed to have been here for a while, because the meal was cold. A glance out of the window told her that it was night again. Had she really slept through the whole day?

After she finished eating, she tied her hair back in a ponytail, put on her slippers and left her room. The short red pants and the white T-shirt should suffice to walk around inside the pension.

She heard voices from the living room, but decided to first go to the toilette. Just as she reached the door, Kaito stepped out of the room.

"Yo, Yuna-chan!", he greeted her, grinning broadly.

"Hey, Kaito-san."

"You're doing a cosplay?"

The girl laughed. She watched him as he got out of the bathroom slippers and put on his house shoes. "Didn't Wataru tell you?"

"He did, but I figured you've had enough pity from everyone else."

"You're actually pretty smart, you know?"

"The others may deem me stupid, but I'm doing it on purpose. You know?"

Yuna had to laugh again.

The blonde grinned at her. "It's great that you're doing all right. Come and join us in the living room."

"First, I really have to use the toilette."

"Hmm ... may I come with you?"

The blue-haired shook her head and changed her footwear.

"I will only listen at the door. Promise."

"No, thanks."

Yuna left the young man back in the hallway and went to relieve herself. Then she got back into her slippers and went into the living room. There she met the rest of the band and Ayumi.

"Hey, guys."

"Hello, Yuna-chan.", she was greeted from a choir.

"How are you?", Wataru inquired excitedly.

"Everything all right. What are you guys up to?" Yuna noticed that the TV was off.

"Chatting and drinking beer." Kaito opened a can. "Join us."

"Oh yes." Ayumi and Nobu agreed.

"Um ... I'm not allowed to drink.", confessed Yuna. The others all laughed. The blue-haired joined in the laughter.

"Do you think we are?", asked Kaito.

"Without me, there would be only tea and cocoa." Ayumi sipped from her can.

"Don't worry. We won't tell your daddy. Promise.", joked Kaito.

Wataru's head snapped towards the blonde. "Are you crazy?!"

Yuna's corners of her mouth wandered down. She turned around and quickly left the living room.

"Did I say something wrong?", asked the pierced in confusion.

"Idiot." Wataru jumped up and followed Yuna.

The others looked questioningly at Ayumi. "She recently lost her family."

"Shit. I didn't know that.", mumbled the blonde.

"Idiot!" Mizuki clouted her boyfriends head.

"Ouch!"
