Happy birthday again, Maine!

Oh my goodness! The On Cam kiss finally happened!!! Whether you're on Team HindiPaSila or Team MagJowaNa, the earlier events still bring that feeling of giddiness to all who support AlDub and MaiChard! Happy, happy weekend to all of us!

Now, I've received several requests for a OneShot today - I've already posted one today actually. Since today is the Maine Event and I have a short amount of free time on my hands (we have to go to mass later and Family Day school activity tomorrow), I tried to write one and here's the result. Hope you like it!

Backstage, after the kiss that rocked MaiChard Nation

Maine's brothers were talking to Alden in the noisy and busy backstage
Kuya Nico: Kaw na talaga, bro! (high five)
D: Oo nga, ikaw na talaga, bro! (another high five)
M: Huy! Talagang kinukunsinti nyo pa yung ginawa nyang si Tisoy ha??? Kulang na lang ibigay nyo na ako sa kanya e!

Dean and Nico looked at each other then asked simultaneously
D/KN: Pwede ba? Wala nang bawian dapat!

Rj laughed at the question while Maine hit her brothers' arms
M: Hindi na ako uuwi talaga, makita nyo!
KN: *laughs* Hindi nga sumagot yung tao, ibig sabihin, ayaw nya!
R: Uy, wag nyo ako idamay dyan! Baka magtampo na naman sa akin ito.

D: Tsk, tsk, tsk. Wala, wala na talaga. Kuya, wag ka masyado pa-obvious dyan kay Ate. Pahirapan mo din minsan.
M: (slaps D's arm) Ayan ka na naman! Ayan ka na naman! Wag kang pupunta sa condo! Sabihin ko kina mommy wag ka nang payagan!
D: *acts contrite* Si ate talaga, di na mabiro. Joke lang yun!

R: Hiramin ko muna ate nyo sandali ha? Sasaglit pa ako ng rehearsals ng SPS mamaya kaya kausapin ko muna. (Turns to M) Babe?

Nico and Dean snicker after hearing Rj call Maine, babe.
M: *rolls eyes* Sige at nang malayo muna ako dyan sa dalawa!

The two were walking to the host's room when they saw Nanay and Tatay Dub approaching them.

Tatay shakes his hand then gives him a manhug. Nanay Dub hugs him directly.
ND: Rj, salamat sa pag-aalaga sa anak namin ha? *smiles* Saka, pagpasensyahan mo na kung may pagkamatampuhin ha? 21 na yan pero parang bata pa rin kasi.

M: *wide eyes* Nay!!! Ako anak nyo, hindi yan!

TD: *smiles* Dun din naman pupunta yun, anak. Mabuti nang malaman nya agad. Wala nang bawian yan pag nagkataon. Full disclosure, ika nga.

Maine turned beet red as her parents laughed at her embarrassed expression.
R: Thank you po, Nay, Tay. Alam ko naman pong tampuhin yan. (M pinches R) Aray! Saka mapanakit po pag iniinis. Pero okay lang po, mahal ko po ang anak nyo. Pananagutan ko po--
M: *wide-eyed* Hoy! Mamaya kung ano isipin ni Nanay at Tatay dyan! Hmph!
(turns to her parents)
Nay, Tay, kakausapin daw po muna ako nito, babalik po kami kaagad.

ND: Sige Rj, Meng. Maghintay lang kami dito.

Rj and Maine managed to get to the host's room without any further interruptions. Miss A, the last person around, was just leaving the room.
A: *all smiles* Meng, Alden, kinilig talaga ako kanina! Ganda nyo talaga tingnan!
R: Thanks Ms. A! Um, usap muna po kami dito ha?
A: (raises her brow) Ah, "usap" pala tawag dun. Sige, alis na ako, babu!

When Ms. A left, Rj closed the door and locked it to be sure no one disturbs them. He hugged Meng tight afterwards
M: O, akala ko mag-uusap tayo? Bakit yakap naman ang ginawa mo?
R: *sighs* Eto naman, masama bang yumakap? Bago pa tayo maistorbo, yayakapin na kita agad.
M: May rehearsal ka pa uy! Usap muna, tapos yakap.

Rj grabs a seat, sits down on it and pulls Maine to sit on his lap.
R: Babe, nagtatampo ka pa rin ba sa akin?
M: Sabi ko kanina, hindi na di ba? So okay na yun. Hindi na ako nagtatampo.
R: Sabi ko naman sayo meron talaga akong regalo para sa iyo. Yung scrapbook nung birthday mo, saka yung kanina at yung pagsunod ko sa iyo sa kung san ka man pupunta.

Maine plays with Rj's collar and doesn't look him in the eye.
M: E, kasi... Puro si KS Alden yung may regalo.
R: Yung bouquet sa akin naman galing yun ah.

M: Oo, pero... Alam mo yun? Birthday ko pero parang wala lang. Ni hindi ka nga nagpunta nung birthday dinner ko, imbitado ka naman. Inuna mo pa kasi mga raket mo.
R: *sighs* Di ba nga, sabi ko na time mo yun sa mga kaibigan mo? Meron namang ngayong weekend.
M: Hmph, di ko pa nga sure kung makakapunta ka bukas.

Rj holds Maine's chin in his hands and makes her look at him
R: Ayan ka na naman. Sabi ko sa iyo, kahit san ka magpunta, susunod ako. And I mean that. Susunod ako bukas. I promise you kasi alam kong importante sa iyo yun.
M: *pouts* Promise?
R: (quick kiss) Promise.

They hugged each other and stayed that way for a minute. Maine then leaned back and asked a question
M: Babe, ano yung nasa box?
R: *smiles* Ano sa palagay mo?
M: Earrings?
R: Hindi.
M: Egg?
R: *guffaws* Paano ko isusuot sa iyo yung itlog? Ikaw talaga!
M: Ano nga?

In answer, Rj sang to her
R: "Cause I don't wanna lose you now

The vacancy that sat in my heart
Is a space that now you hold

M: O, ano nga yun?
R: Ano ba yung nasa video nun? Di ba mag-asawa?
M: Hala, wedding ring?
R: (flicks M's nose) Advance ka naman. Bago yun!
M: Engagement ring?

Rj just smiles at Maine in response
R: Basta, pag handa ka na, sabihan mo lang ako. Alam ko marami ka pang pangarap. Pero ke ngayon o in a few years ka pa maging handa, handa ako maghintay. Ang sinasabi ko lang sa iyo, sigurado na ako ngayon pa lang.

Maine hugs Rj tightly
M: Thank you babe. Napakapasensyoso mo talaga. Kaya gusto ka rin talaga nila Tatay. Nahanap ko na raw yung katapat ko.
R: (kisses the back of her hand) Ganyan naman talaga dapat. Complementary - you're weakness is my strength and vice versa.

Maine smiles at Rj then kisses him quickly on the lips again. She then leans back, smiles teasingly and sings the song she played on the drums earlier
M: Love me like you do, love me like you do. Touch me like you do, touch me like you do.
R: (smiles naughtily) Ah, gusto mo ma-M&M ulit ha?
M: What are you waiting for?

And without further ado, Rj proceeded to thoroughly show his "mirror" how good his "Maine Mendoza" (M&M) moves were. 🙈🙊🙉
