The Matter of Expansion

Time continues to move forward in an uncaring manner with the first of the ten years that Ye Gui Feng has to spend his time in leisure drawing towards its end.

During this passage of time the important buildings of the Chi family and Nie family have all been moved over into the Yao family's land as it had been the most suitable one of the three options to choose from.

This movement had involved a great deal of work as numerous public buildings outside of the Yao family's estate had to also be moved further outwards to allow the buildings of the Chi family and the Nie family to be moved inside.

Some of the old buildings of the three families had been torn down during this process due to them being a waste of space but most of them are kept for utility purposes.

Upon the completion of that giant movement the sign at the front gates of the Yao family had been officially changed to read the Ni Liu family's estates.

The courtyard of Ye Gui Feng and Xiao Ju Hong are also moved during that big movement and is now placed onto a tall mountain.

This man-made mountain is considered the Ni Liu family's sacred grounds now with a powerful magic array hovering over its peak.

There was a big argument happening when this mountain had been in the midst of construction.

That argument involves the teardowns of Ye Gui Feng and Xiao Ju Hong's old courtyard so that it can be replaced with a grand mansion. But the two had objected to the pleads of the Ni Liu family clansmen much to everyone's disappointment.

With the current status of Ye Gui Feng it really is considered a loss of face for the Ni Liu family to have him live inside of a courtyard that can only be described as plain and ordinary.

It's somewhat funny considering how that courtyard is now called the ancestral courtyard.

No doubt the future generations a hundred years down the line will always ask as to why this ordinary looking courtyard is the ancestral courtyard when they look at the glorified ancestral buildings of other cultivation households.

Generally buildings are given this title of "ancestral" because a family's roots had started there. With that being the case it made logical sense to call that courtyard the ancestral courtyard since it had been the courtyard given to Ye Gui Feng and Xiao Ju Hong upon their arrival into this time period. Without them here the Ni Liu family right now wouldn't have existed.

Most affluential families would surely choose to demolish their original ancestral building and build a more glorified building that better represent their noble status. The reason for this is as one might expect; everything must start from the ground up and with that being the case one can expect most ancestral buildings to look extremely plain or even rundown.

For being the one who had given that courtyard to Ye Gui Feng and Xiao Ju Hong at the time Yao Zhen Tian can't help but cough and take that secret with him into his grave.

Had Yao Zhen Tian knew that the future would be like this he would surely have chosen to give Ye Gui Feng and Xiao Ju Hong a mansion instead.

Within the entirety of the cultivation world there really isn't that many ancestor like figures who would actually be willing to live in an ordinary courtyard as such people like Ye Gui Feng and Nuo Su Chen can be considered somewhat of an odd ball in the cultivation world.

On a clear weather day Ye Gui Feng moves off the sacred mountain with a single step and appears at the grand meeting halls that is lacking in decorative pieces of furniture other than a single table that's placed at the center of the room with four chairs surrounding it.
