Moving through the outer heavens and heading towards the directions of the Primordial Continent the Asura Monarch knits his closed eyes together.

[...]

Opening his eyes the Asura Monarch turns his head to the side.

[.........Oh?]

Feeling the gaze of a person behind his back the Asura Monarch looks at a specific spot and raises a look of minor curiosity.

Almost instantly the presence behind him vanishes as the Asura Monarch returns to facing forward.

[Foresight is it?]

Looking down at his hand the Asura Monarch can't help but sigh. Has his powers truly weakened so severely to the point in which a nameless nobody is now capable of using foresight to predict his eventual arrival?

Then again...

Even if there is a person capable of predicting his arrival what did it matter?

They are most likely powerless to do anything against him so the Asura Monarch finds no reason to be feeling fearful.

If they must resort to the means of foresight then they are most definitely a weakling that can easily be killed with a single hand.

[...No. This person...]

Although it is only for a brief instance the Asura Monarch had never the less felt the air that the presence behind him had given off.

Without a doubt the air of that presence belongs to a person who is helpless to stop the inevitable and is most likely desperate.

Although they are helpless and desperate they had never the less chosen to step forward to face the inevitable circumstances that they are dealt with.

To have the courage to bravely face an inevitable fate of impossible odds is something that not many are capable of.

The sheer despair that a person would feel under the circumstances are generally all that it would take to crush their spirits making it so that they would never be able to muster up the will to stand against it.

But this person had chosen to look into the bleak future for hope despite the irony of that idea. This is something that even less people would think to do.

Most likely they had also known that the future only holds an infinite number of negative possibilities as well amid their decision making to peek into it.

Yet they had still chosen to look into the murky darkness that the infinite futures may hold.

No doubt they must have done it several times while clinging onto the hopes of finding a future that they can accept.

In that case just how many futures had they seen in which everything would end in a soul crushing manner?

The number is something that the Asura Monarch has no way of knowing but he can instinctively tell that this person must have seen countless futures in which everything had ended in a way that brought them despair.

In the end did they find what it is that they are looking for?

This is something that the Asura Monarch has no way of knowing either but for a person to go this far in the hopes of finding a good future while each vision that they see crushes their spirit is-

[A heart of unwavering will is it? Worthy of praise indeed. This kind of resolve is befitting of a warrior. However...]

Despite that presence giving off the air of a seasoned practitioner who had witness numerous battles and has had their hands stained in the blood of countless individuals that person is by no means a warrior.

Instead it would be much more proper to say that-

[They are only human.]

*Crackle! Crackle! Crackle! Crackle! Crackle! Crackle! Crackle! Crackle! Crackle! Crackle!* lightning crackles in a restless manner as the Asura Monarch's eyes give off a flash of anticipation.

[Brimming with excitement are we?]

Talking to the crackling lightning numerous phantoms appear behind the back of the Asura Monarch.

These phantom figures varied in age from young to old with both males and females amongst their vast numbers.

All these phantoms are shrouded in a dense veil of dark lightning making their appearances somewhat vague.

The sheer number of these phantom figures is difficult to estimate but their numbers are just about enough to fill the entire surface of the vast thunderclouds.

Standing up from sitting the Asura Monarch turns around and looks upon the lightning clad phantoms with a light of reminiscence in his eyes.

A myriad number of familiar faces appear in the mind of the Asura Monarch as he looks upon these phantoms who had once been living people in the distant past.

All these phantoms had been a part of the Asura Monarch's legion of warriors who had fought bravely with him to the bitter end during a war that had occurred in the ancient past.

It goes without saying that all of them had died in the end but death to a monarch is but a temporary matter that can be handled with time.

In the ancient past it wasn't too uncommon for the Original Monarchs to take in servants under the promise of everlasting glory.

With that being the case the members of a monarch's legion might as well be considered just as undying as the monarch themselves for so long as the monarch exists the legion is eternal.

[Soon.]

Upon obtaining the "Eternity" of the Dao Lotus the Asura Monarch intends to bring all these individuals back from the dead by fishing them out from the Rivers of Time.

People might say that the Asura Monarch is the most dispassionate individual amongst the ten Original Monarchs. But just who can say for certain without knowing the person himself?

If anyone asks a member of the Asura Monarch's legion then they would probably answer by saying that he is a fair individual who keeps to his promises.

Continuing to move towards the directions of the Primordial Continent time passes quietly.

[...]

Knowing what is to come eventually Ye Gui Feng knew that the silence of time's passage is something that won't last forever as he sits upon the wooden couch with a look of concern.

[*Sigh*]

Raising a sigh Ye Gui Feng can only hope that the refinements of the painting will be finished prior to the powerful enemy's arrival.

[...]

"You've already done all that you can prepare. Why not just rest for now?"

[...I wish it were that easy to rest.]

Due to the circumstances that they are faced with Ye Gui Feng can't help but feel anxious when he isn't doing anything productive to increase the odds of his plan's success rate. This makes it difficult for him to just accept Bai Yuechu's advice on taking a rest.

"You can have a thousand different reasons to not take a rest and prepare but if you tire yourself out how will you handle the critical moment?"

Towards these words Ye Gui Feng smiles lightly as he had to agree with them.

[I'll be counting on you to look after it.]

"*Sigh* very well."

Raising a light sigh Bai Yuechu nods.

To perfect the Dao Manifested Celestial's Dao of the Immortal it is necessary for it to live its own life as an individual that is separate from the Dao of the Demon.

To safe guard his immortal self Ye Gui Feng intends to have Bai Yuechu look after it while he is acting as the overseer of the Starry Sea's magic array.
