Waking up in the early hours of the morning Xiao Lian rubs the sleepiness out of her eyes as her vision adjusts to the brightness of the morning light.

Placing a hand to her chest Xiao Lian feels a sense of loss.

"*Sigh*"

Raising a sigh of unhappiness Xiao Lian can tell that sooner or later her physical body will reach its limits and once it does she will most definitely cease to exist. The amount of time that she has left is most likely less than six years.

Considering how fast two years had gone by under this comforting warmth of familial life Xiao Lian felt like the remainder of her time will end in a single flash. Once her time comes to an end just what will happen to her then? Was reincarnation even possible for an existence such as herself?

Without Xiao Lian realizing it Die Fei has already walked into the room and came over to the bed side.

Eventually realizing the presence of Die Fei Xiao Lian does her best to dismiss her sense of loss as she raises her head with a light smile and looks up to Die Fei who has her lips parted slightly.

Sitting down on the bed Die Fei sighs and places a hand onto Xiao Lian's head while smiling at her in a gentle manner.

"You don't have to pretend to be happy if you don't want to. Your parents are out right now with the others."

Having spent so much time with Xiao Lian Die Fei can naturally tell what the child might be thinking of.

"I see..."

Towards this situation of her parents being out of the house Xiao Lian really didn't know whether to be happy or to be sad.

Maybe it would be more appropriate to say that it is relief that Xiao Lian is currently feeling. Relief in not having to put up an act in front of her parents like everything is fine and that there is nothing to worry about in the future.

There's no doubt in Xiao Lian's mind that her parents are most likely trying to do the same and so are the twins.

The reason as to why they choose to put on an act is to lessen the tensions of their daily interactions as none of them really knew what to say to the other under the circumstances. With that being the case they pretend like everything is fine and allow time to flow.

Inevitably this act is something that will eventually be broken but none of them knew how and so they have chosen to wait it out.

Although her parents do not show it Xiao Lian knows that they are trying to figure something out in the background as a means of changing her eventual fate.

Within this household there are only two individuals who doesn't really bother to put up an act in front of Xiao Lian. These two individuals would readily be up front about everything when they are alone with her.

One of these individuals is Die Fei while the other is naturally Bai Yuechu.
