The contents of Bai Yuechu and the Eternal Monarch's conversation is something that only they themselves would know.

With the trip of paying a visit to the Eternal Monarch for the answers to their troubles being a failure the group can only choose to return to the courtyard in a depressing manner.

Standing at the edge of the garden Ye Gui Feng and Xiao Ju Hong looked towards each other. They both have a bitter and helpless expression on their faces.

Towards this exchange of the same words they might find it funny under normal circumstances but right now this only serves to increase the pain in their hearts.

As Xiao Lian's parents both Ye Gui Feng and Xiao Ju Hong felt extremely powerless in their inabilities to do anything to change their daughter's fate that is seemingly inevitable.

Towards this request the three weapon spirits nodded as Ye Gui Feng and Xiao Ju Hong walked back the way they came.

Putting a bit of distance between themselves and the courtyard Ye Gui Feng and Xiao Ju Hong stood about ten or so meters away from the gardens of their home without knowing what to say to each other as they face forward.

Despite Xiao Ju Hong being unwilling to admit it these words made a lot of sense under the circumstances that she and Ye Gui Feng are currently dealt with.

What's the point of frantically searching for a solution that doesn't exist?

If they are truly powerless to do anything to stop the inevitable from happening then...

Why not just live in the present moment instead of the unknown future?
