Final Glimpse into the Future

Peals of raging lightning descends from the dark heavens with ear splitting crackles that are akin to the roars of numerous beasts.

This sight would surely cause a mortal to feel as if it is the end of the world making them cower in despair.

Beneath this lightning shower a single figure soars through the air in the manners of a shooting star.

But in the same instance that beam of starlight is quickly swallowed up by the descending bolts of dark lightning almost as if it had voluntarily entered the maws of a famished beast of darkness.

[...Uh...]

The light of daze within Ye Gui Feng's eyes gradually vanishes and the moment he recovers from his dreaming state of mind he shakes his head with a look of discomfort.

[...............]

Having seen through more than 1,000 potential futures that would all cut off in an abrupt manner causes Ye Gui Feng to put on a grim expression of great concern.

Although Ye Gui Feng didn't manage to see the exact details of these potential futures he can instinctively tell that none of them are anything to be happy about.

These abrupt cut-offs are irritating to a great degree but what was Ye Gui Feng supposed to do?

Even after looking through more than 1,000 potential futures Ye Gui Feng has yet to realize the reason behind these cut-offs' frequent occurrence.

Perhaps after a few years of experience in the arts of divination the occurrence of these cut-offs will gradually go away.

But Ye Gui Feng really didn't have that much time on his hands.

One can say that Ye Gui Feng is in a rush and they would be correct to say so. But who can really blame him when his daughter's life isn't going to be extended without a miracle?

However, instead of praying for a miracle from a god that most probably doesn't exist Ye Gui Feng would much rather take things into his own hands.

[Dark clouds and lightning...]

The commonality between all these potential futures is the presence of dark clouds and dark lightning.

In one future Ye Gui Feng had seen himself cursing at the dark heavens in fury while a shower of black lightning descends upon him with the intent to wipe away his entire existence.

In another future Ye Gui Feng had seen the figure of Xiao Ju Hong in tears while holding onto the lifeless body of their daughter in her arms.

From amongst the potential futures that Ye Gui Feng had seen there was also another one in which a powerful blast of concentrated lightning had been sent down upon Xiao Ju Hong and Xiao Lian with him being helpless to stop it from happening as he watches the two vanish from his life in a split flash.

Another future depicts the imagery of thunder and lightning crashing down from the darkened heavens and erasing their home without leaving a single trace of it behind.

The abrupt cut-off of that vision had also given Ye Gui Feng a brief aftermath view of the results with there being a massive crater opened on the spot that their courtyard had once stood.

[.........I refuse to believe that there isn't a way out of this...]

Steeling his nerves and grinding his teeth together Ye Gui Feng looks to the next star.

After seeing so many potential futures in which all of them had a bad ending or something that looks like a premonition that will lead to an eventual bad end it can be considered quite a feat for Ye Gui Feng to press onwards.
