I came out to my friends at school (as a pansexual girl) and told them about the fact that I was dating a girl, who was one of my best friends before hand and surprisingly they completely accepted me. It was huge for me because a lot of kids in my school are homophobic but my friends helped me to change their minds about LGBTQ+ people. Especially considering my mom doesn't even fully accept me being pansexual for the most part because she wasn't raised to believe a girl can like a girl or a boy can like a boy as more than just a friend. Also, a huge majority of my school is strictly catholic so it was even harder to change people's minds about me and the LGBTQ+ community but it was worth it in the end because I'm with a girl that I love and I have my friends and schoolmates to back me up. Just a reminder to everyone reading this, don't give up, it get's better.
