Esidisi & Kars {Ecosystem}

It's not very good, but it's something

You lay on Kars' chest. Esidisi was latched around your waist, his head resting on your side. It wasn't the most comfortable position, but the three of you made do.

The rise and fall of Kars' chest was lulling you to sleep. That was, until he sat up abruptly. Your head falls into his lap, making you flinch.

"Esidisi," Kars murmured, "do you hear that?" Kars tangled his fingers in your hair.

"Mmn? Hear what?" Esidisi yawns.

"Listen," Kars hisses. You knew that you couldn't hear it, but you listened anyway. The soft din of the rainforest filled your ears.

"Ah, you mean those humans that are hiking not even a mile away? What about them?" Esidisi says.

"They are intruding on our territory. Don't you think we should take action?" Kars growls. Esidisi yawns again.

"I'll stay here with (Y/N), to protect her," Esidisi croons, nuzzling your side. You blush a little bit. Kars scoffs quietly.

Kars leans to get up, but you wrap your arms around his legs.

"Stay," you whine, "we need you." Kars tries to gently pry your fingers off of him. "It's not the same without you. Then I don't have anyone to lay on," you say, squeezing him. Kars still continues to try and remove your fingers from him. "You're killing the rainforest! Our fragile ecosystem will be in ruin if you leave! You can't upset the whole harmony of the place," you whine, tightening your grip on his legs, "You don't want to kill the rainforest, do you?" You look up at him.

Kars sighs softly, laying back down. He re-tangles his fingers in your hair. You smile. (Y/N) and Esidisi 1, Kars 0.
