Kars {Lemon Squares}

Just a lil' something to tide you all over until an actually good oneshot comes out . Who will win? One Lemony Boi, or a Salty Purple Boi?

"Kars, would you like a lemon square?" You offer, holding out the tray to him.

Kars turns to you with an inquisitive look on his face.

"A square of lemon? Isn't that a bitter fruit?" Kars asks, folding his arms across his chest. You giggle softly.

"Well, yes. There are lemons are in it, but it's really sweet," you say, "come on! Try one!"

You pluck one of the squares from the tray. You hold the confection to his scowling lips. Kars eyes the treat for a moment before looking back to you. He opens his mouth reluctantly and takes a bite out of it, barely missing your fingers. You flinch, pulling your fingers back quickly.

You watch with bated breath as Kars chews the lemon square. He looks like he's pondering the taste. He swallows.

"Well?" You question. Kars licks his lips.

"It was...Adequate," He says, looking at half eaten lemon square in your hands. You offer it to him. Kars takes the rest of the lemon square from your hands.

"Do you want another one?" You offer again, grabbing another one from the tray. Kars eyes it for a moment before taking it. You smile. He's a genocidal genius with a sweet tooth, you thought.

"Thank you, you may go now," Kars says, turning away. Your smile widens. You were glad that even an ancient being appreciated your baking.
