As long as the tyrant had been reigning, she had been leading the rebellion against him. The steps they took were tiny, and thus progress had been slow, but it had been there nevertheless.
After all, resigning to life without magic had not been an option for her and her comrades. The world had been so much more colorful, so much brighter. And no regime, however bleak, would ever break her spirit. Her sense of responsibility for her people wouldn't allow for that to happen.
And so she fought tirelessly, in the dead of night and from every direction the tyrant wasn't expecting her.
