There was a fluttering in her chest every time she entered her workshop. It was as if her heart knew it got to live its passion yet another day, and it almost couldn't wait to get started.

She had always loved science, mechanics, technology. Becoming an inventor had once been a wild dream, but to her continuing amazement, it was now her daily reality.

She looked over the many prototypes spread across the workshop. Jetpacks lay next to medical devices, and a robot stood standby in a corner. Lately, because of the war, she had to focus on defensive machinery.

Not that her government would mind her building weapons, oh no. Her principles just didn't allow her to do so.
