Memories had a way of haunting people to the very end. And they sure haunted her.

She had never meant any harm to anyone, but when it had come to it, she had chosen her own hide before anyone else's.

She had been trying to right her own wrongs ever since, something she would never have been able to do had she lost her life back then, but that still wouldn't settle her guilty conscience.

She even kept the reminders of what happened on a macabre display in her now trashed home. Broken pieces of expensive vases scattered across the floor. Torn up pillows. The blood spatters across her walls.
