31. Colors

"Isn't it strange how much we associate colors with all these different kinds of concepts?", he mused, looking intensely at the swirling rays of colors scattered around the room.

"You're quite right," his teacher answered, nodding thoughtfully, "It's even stranger considering how they're all supposed to represent the same ancient magic that powers our world."

The two of them stayed quiet for a while, wondering how something looking so fragile, so utterly without matter, could keep alive their massive planet.

"And our order gets to take care of it," the student sighed. "If only we could find a way to prevent it from dying."
