Even though her world came tumbling down around her, she was as steady and calm as the ice flooding her veins.

Not a single fiery creature stood a chance against her might, as she drew on every last ounce of her magic, throwing it outwards with everything she had.

And all of a sudden, everything around her was frozen, the only sign of time passing were the little clouds her breath made in the air.

Good, she thought. The beasts that weren't killed during the attack would most surely be slowed down considerably. She turned on her heels and walked away. She had more pressing matters than taking care of the remainders.
