She had a lot of shortcomings. Really, if she'd have to list them all, it would result in a lecture that would put the most boring of professors to shame. But if she had to name one that she knew would be her downfall one day, it would be her pride.
It might not seem like such a disaster to be prideful, but the tricky thing about pride, is that for all its grandeur, it's ridiculously fragile.
And when you live in a world where emotions become tangible things... You get cut.
As she could attest, picking the shards of your own pride out of your skin was not a pleasurable experience.
