Sometimes endings were just meant to be bittersweet, he thought to himself as he drifted towards his death in the arms of his beloved.
He had lived quite the life, trying to right wrongs wherever he could, building strong friendships and even finding what he liked to think of as the love of his life.
Being poisoned by her to weaken a tyrant and potentially save millions of people, might just count as going out with a bang. At least, he liked to think of it as that in his final moments.
Little did he know that this end, was merely a new beginning.
