There was beauty in simplicity, at least for her eyes to see.

It's why her nimble hands, with a talent for painting, had always gravitated towards abstract paintings. Some people felt the stark lines and simple forms were too "easy" to be considered true art. But she knew the truth.

There was nothing easy about composing geometrical forms into a work that was easy on the eyes, or about harmonizing colors in a palette that soothed the mind.

So she let them talk, retreating to her bubble consisting of easel and canvas, building her ideal world with every single brushstroke.
