He gasped for air.
He had never felt this deeply before. Sure, he had felt many an emotion throughout the years, but this was something else entirely.
Then, it dawned on him: it must have been the curse. The curse that had been placed on him, to punish him for trespassing a mage's private domain. And spells like that could never be broken.
So he learned to live with it, because what else was a man supposed to do in a situation like that?
And in the end, he learned a new truth. While feeling so very deeply is most surely a curse, it is also a blessing.
