There's a whole lot of deeds, thoughts and words scattered across the spectrum of good and evil. And sometimes, we need to venture a bit further into the territory of evil than we would have liked. Because to do good, we might need that misstep, that little bit of wrong. To do whatever just to stay alive. To find solace in the merciless whirlwind called life.

And even more rarely, those faults and bad deeds turn out to be the right path to take in the end.

A long story short: that, my dear, is how I started loving you.

Author's note: This one was inspired by one of my absolute favourite songs, "Stay Alive" by José Gonzalez (although Roo Panes has made an excellent cover of it that I can recommend as well). I often use music as an inspiration to write, and for this prompt, there simply was no song that suited it better.
