He was positively thrilled to go to school. On the other hand, he knew that was a sentiment that not many kids shared, and so he tried very hard to keep his excitement contained. He was pretty sure that his hopping around gave him away anyway, though.
But how could he not be this excited? It was not every day that a seemingly normal kid like him was whisked away to go study at some fancy magical school. While he had always known that magic existed, he had sort of assumed that he possessed no powers worth mentioning.
As he looked up at the massive gates leading to the school, he knew all that was about to change.
