Time always slowed down while she was working on an invention.
It was a side effect of her abilities to control time, that always slipped just beyond her focus when she was busy doing something she loved.
Eventually, she even managed to capture those time-bending capabilities into her machines, giving them properties beyond what any ordinary inventor could achieve.
In a way, she was long used to being extraordinary. Still, when the invitation to join a group of heroes was extended to her, she doubted.
But even with an intellect that great, bravery has a way of getting the upper hand.
Some would even call it recklessness.
