Chapter 46

Team 7 stood at the end of the bridge ready to depart.

Tazuna, Tsunami and Inari were present there to bid them goodbye.

"Thanks to you we've completed the bridge but. . . this is super sad. . . "

Tazuna said as he genuinely thanked everyone.

"Thank you for everything."

Kakashi said in his usual cheerful tone.

"Don't worry! We'll come visit again!"

Naruto said grinning widely.

"Likewise."

Saki said smiling softly.

"You. . . better"

Inari said his voice quivering as he tried to hold back his tears.

Looking at him Naruto's eyes became moist as his lips started to quiver.

"Inari. . ."

He started in a low voice.

"You're sad right? It's alright to cry!"

He continued smirking trying to act tough.

"I'm not going to cry!! But Naruto you can cry too!!"

Inari replied in a flustered tone.

"Fine. . ."

Naruto replied softly as he turned around.

"Later. . ."

Saki could see him crying as he turned around as his snot fell along with his tears.

"Geez. . . they're like twins."

She could hear Sakura whispering those words in disdain.

Saki chucked lightly as she went ahead and patted Inari's head.

"Work hard to become stronger alright?  We'll visit again."

She said smiling.

Inari threw his arms around her as he hugged her tightly.

"I will! So you better come visit again."

He said crying.

Saki patted his back gently.

"Alright."

She promised.

After the hug she also bid her goodbye. This was her first official adventure in this world and she knew there were many more to come. But still this one will have a special place in her heart.

After arriving the first thing that Saki did was visit Sasuke's mother along with him.

"Hello Mrs. Uchiha!"

She said entering the room along with Sasuke.

"I am back mother."

Sasuke said as his faced softened.  He stood beside her bed as he held her hand gently.

"I missed you."

Saki looked at them as she smiled softly. She really hoped that Mikoto could wake up and reunite with Sasuke.

She walked towards the flower vase looking at the flowers that she had left behind. They had been taken care of by the nurses. Still beautiful as ever.

She looked at the mother and son pair again.

"I will always look after him."

She promised Mikoto in a hushed tone.

Saki, Sakura and Sasuke stood at the meeting spot waiting for Kakashi and Naruto.

"Oh good morning Saki-nee!!!  Sakura-chan!!! "

They heard Naruto's loud voice as raced towards them.

He suddenly looked towards Sasuke as he stopped at his tracks.

They looked at each other and then turned their head away blushing.

"Bah!"

They exclaimed as they refused to look at each other.

Saki looked at the two. Although the emotional scene between the two at the bridge didn't take place but still something else did happen which strengthened their. . . friendship? Kakashi had told her that when she had fainted and Naruto had lost control, Sasuke had helped calm him down and also these two had consoled abd supported each other during that time. Honestly speaking, Saki couldn't imagine it but she was still glad.

While she was smiling looking at them, Sakura who was by her side was having a hard time as she felt really awkward and wished for Kakashi to arrive soon.

"Hey guys!"

Kakashi finally arrived three hours later.

"I got lost!"

He said cheerfully.

"Stop lying with a straight face!!! Give it a rest!"

Sakura scolded pointing at him.

"You're a failure as a ninja!"

Naruto also chimed in pointing at him.

Saki just sighed as Sasuke just ignored everything.

Saki wondered why Kakashi won't give them the right timing ever.
