Third Person POV

The kabuki servant escorted Lloyd to a door with his symbol on it. Lloyd opened it, walking in to observe his new resting quarters.

Lloyd curiously stepped into the room before the servant slammed the door behind him.

As he examined the room, he realized that it was literally detailed after him.

The walls were green; so were the floors, the bed sheets, the curtains, pretty much everything was green! The creepiest item in the room was the picture that he had taken with his friends from many years ago that sat atop the green dresser. How Chen managed to get his hands on that he'd never know.

His eyes met the neatly folded clothes, which also happened to be green, that were laying on the bed. After a small inner debate, he decided that he should change into them.

Once he put the silky, green garments on, he stood in front of the tall mirror.

"Yeah, this is sweet," he chuckled quietly looking up and down at his new outfit.

He turned back, seeing the picture of his friends on the dresser. His smile faded, gazing at Zane's smiling features.

"Don't worry," He whispered, picking the picture up. "We're gonna find you, pal."

Setting the picture down, he couldn't help but think that saving his friend would be impossible.

But he didn't have much time to ponder this after hearing a blaring horn come from the hall. He snapped up, going to check what it was.

"May the best fighter win!" Chen ended his seemingly long speech.

Soon enough, the room collapsed into chaos. Uh oh.

~~~~~~~~~~~
The first day of the tournament proved that finding Zane was easier said than done.
Though the ninja discovered a crucial secret of Chen's island, Lloyd only became more discouraged about the mission.
The next morning, as everyone was bustling to get their breakfast before the tournament commenced, Lloyd's mind was swimming in a pool of doubt.
While in the line, his father caught his worried glance over his shoulder. Once they were out of the line, Garmadon firmly held his arm out, balancing the breakfast tray in one hand and effectively stopping Lloyd at the same time.
"I know that look," He uttered barely above a whisper. "What's the matter?"
Lloyd had no idea where this came from, so he went with his first instinct. "It's nothing. Don't worry about me."
Garmadon furrowed his brows, his eyelids retaining a slight crinkle as he looking into his son's eyes.
Suddenly, Chen's ear-grinding voice rang out from the intercoms.
"Fun time! Would the following masters please make their way to their assigned arenas:....."
This conversation would have to wait.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Later that evening, Lloyd was resting on the long, also green bed. His mind was heavy; too many thoughts were rushing through it.

As he was about to turn the lights off to go to sleep, a light scratching noise alerted him. He stood up to investigate the source of the sound, which happened to be coming from the balcony of his room.

Through the thin curtains, he could see a lanky silhouette standing as still as a statue. With the sound of the floor creaking under Lloyd's weight, the shadow immediately slipped against the wall.

Lloyd's heart drummed in his chest as he proceeded to approach the balcony. With a mighty swipe of his hands, both of the curtains were now aside, revealing the stranger. As it turned out, the stranger was, in fact, not a stranger, but his own father.

"What are you doing here, Dad?!" Lloyd gasped, letting go of the curtains.

Stepping forward, Garmadon shook his head. "You shouldn't be up so late. It's not good for you."

"Seriously, Dad, you could get caught! What's going on?"

Garmadon sat down on the edge of the bed, patting the space beside him as an invitation to join him. "Actually, I came to check on you. You've been behaving oddly. What's wrong?"

Lloyd sighed, sitting down beside him.

"I just....I don't know how to-.." He stammered. Finally, he turned to face his father. "I don't know how we're going to be able to find Zane. Ever since we came here, I've just been kind of unsure about it. The island is just so big, Zane could be anywhere."

Before Lloyd could spill out more of his fears, Garmadon firmly placed his hands on his shoulders.

"Lloyd, listen to me," He coaxed, releasing his grip slightly. "We're going to find him. It's all going to work out, alright? Everything will be okay; I promise."

Lloyd nodded, feeling a sense of purpose regrowing in him. He leaned forward, enveloping himself in his father's arms.

Garmadon hugged him back, ruffling his hair with his fingers.

"Don't worry, Lloyd. Everything will be fine."
