Always Be With You (Sakata Gintoki)

"What? A time machine? That's stupid." 

It was chaos when the Yorozuya arrived at Gengai's place. (Y/N) had come with Gintoki to get her rice cooker fixed and thus they took her to Gengai.

"That's amazing." (Y/N) exclaims as she examined the huge machine Gengai showed them enthusiastically. "Gin, I want a drink, come with me to convenience store? We can go home afterwards." She asked turning to the silver haired male, while Gintoki groaned but still complied.

He did love the woman.

"Fine, fine. You two stay here and take the rice cooker back, got that? (Y/N) and I will head back home right after." Gintoki says pointing a finger at Kagura and Shinpachi. "So? How does this thing work? Does it even work?" Shinpachi asks as he fumbled around the machine.

"That's cool! Send us back in time!" Kagura cheers as she pushed Shinpachi aside and stared at the machine excitedly.

"Oh, would you guys like to be my testers!?" Gengai happily exclaimed as he pushed the two inside the door. "Alright. When you want to go back, just hold hands and press the button at the end of this toothpick!" Gengai says as he hands Shinpachi a medium sized toothpick.

"Huh?! Hold on. Why am I involved in this!? Let me out!! And why does this toothpick seem familiar?!" Shinpachi banged his fists protestingly at the door while Kagura was anticipatingly bouncing on her steps.

"Let's go! Let's go!"

"Off you go!!" Gengai cheers as he presses the button and everything went white in their eyes.

Joui War, 10 years ago

"...What the— Where the hell are we?!" Shinpachi groans as he stood up, they were in the middle of what seemed to be a battlefield. "Look at what you did." Shinpachi reprimanded Kagura.

"Is this...a battlefield?" Kagura asks as she looked around curiously and they saw dead men's bodies, not only humans— there were amantos as well.

"Hey....isn't this like the— Joui War?" Shinpachi sweat dropped when suddenly a sword appeared right next to his neck. Shinpachi flinched and looked forward and saw—

"Who are you people? Spies sent by the Bakufu?" They turned to see a younger version of Gintoki, much ruthless and scarier too. He wore a white kimono with protective gear, but it was all stained with the red colour of blood. A white ribbon tied around his hair and his eyebrows furrowed with anger as he glared at them.

The two froze in their steps. It is Gintoki. "What is it, Gintoki? Did you find survivors?" A new voice comments and this time they see a younger version of Takasugi with not 1 but 2 eyes. He appears by Gintoki's side holding his sword cautiously

"Are there enemies around?! There's only 5 of us here, Sakamoto and I sent everyone back along with the injured!" Next, A younger Katsura appeared running hurriedly to their side only to stop and stare curiously at the two kids.

"Oi! What's everyone doing here? (Y/N) and I finished checking out the south side!" A younger Sakamoto nows appears beside them. Sakamoto wasn't wearing his sun glasses yet.

This was when everything sinked in.

"You four idiots. What did you do now? I told you not to wander too far." Shinpachi and Kagura's heart quickened at the familiar voice. They turn to see a new face that was very familiar in their eyes. It was (Y/N).

(Y/N) stood beside Gintoki with her arms crossed over her blood soaked kimono. Her (H/L) (H/C) hair was tied back, she wore the same white ribbon the other four wore on their heads and she had a fierce look on her face.
