Shouyo smiled as he watched Gintoki, Katsura and Takasugi talk each other in the yard. (Y/N) had tasked him with watching over the kids— making sure they didn't start hurting each other, especially Gintoki and Takasugi.

Shouyo watched as Takasugi brings out a wooden sword and suddenly starts fighting Gintoki with it.

Yup.

They weren't doing anything dangerous.

"Shouyo, I told you to watch them!!" (Y/N)'s angry voice rang in his ears and soon he felt a small tinge of pain at the top of his head, after her fist made contact with it.

"(Y/N), hitting me out of nowhere is bad." Shouyo faked a frown, turning to the (H/C) haired woman who had her hands on her hips as she narrowed her eyes at him, while he rubbed the place she hit with a hand.

"And just sitting there watching your students fight each other to the death is fine?"

"They're not fighting each other t—"

"Sensei!! Takasugi and Gintoki are killing each other!!" Katsura yells, (Y/N) clicked her tongue as she ran to the kids and smacked their heads.

"Ahahaa....Everything is fine if I have you, (Y/N)." Shouyo smiled, as he sipped on his tea calmly, watching (Y/N) scold the kids angrily.

She seemed like a mother.

She seemed like his wife.

She seemed likethe perfect woman for him.

Shouyo softly sighs as a smile tugged on his lips. He knew that he wouldn't be able to give her the life she deserved because of his true identity, that's why he strives to make the most of the time he has with her now while he still can. He loved (Y/N) very much, but he tried not to show it. After all, the kids didn't know yet.

That he and (Y/N) were dating already.

(Y/N) insisted on keeping it a secret from the kids, saying that it might be too much of a shock for the kids. But, Shouyo didn't mind it— as long as he could be with her, he was fine with anything.

"You— SHORTY!!" Gintoki stuck his tongue out at Takasugi, as he chucked the wooden sword towards Takasugi— who managed to dodge it.

"You're the idiot." Takasugi snickered at Gintoki who suddenly started shaking in fear, while looking past Takasugi.

"Wow, Gintoki." Shouyo clapped his hands as he slowly walked towards Gintoki. "Your aim is good, huh? Let me try." Shouyo smiled innocently as he picked up the wooden sword which hit his face and raised it upon Gintoki's head.

Gintoki shut his eyes close, preparing himself for the impact.

"Shouyo, down." (Y/N) narrowed her eyes at Shouyo who pouted. "I'm just teaching him a lesson," He reasoned out and (Y/N) shook her head saying 'no'.

"I said put it down." She raised her voice slightly and started emphasizing words. Shouyo sighs as he let go of the sword and pouted.

Shouyo could never disobey her.

"Good."

Shouyo could only stare at her back as she continued scolding the kids. Suddenly, he remembered that lately he hasn't been able to be alone with her. He felt a pang in his heart— he didn't even know why.

Gently raising his hand to clutch his chest, he let out a sigh, but still that feeling of wanting more— something close to a need was still lingering deep in his chest.

Was he.....craving for her attention?

"How ridiculous..." He shook his head and cast his eyes down with a small smile appearing on his face.
