It didn't matter to him, how far they were from one another. In the end, he would be able to find her, no matter where she was.

They had been best friends ever since they were young. But the difference between them was how she was quirkiness, hence, she had gone on a different route from him. But that didn't stop them from keeping in contact with one another.

Or hanging out with one another.

Occasionally she would be seen waiting outside of the gates of U.A High, where she would have on a wide smile as she waited patiently. And then her eyes would lay upon the very Best Friend of hers who comes out shyly as he ran up to her.

"Ah! It's [name]!" Mirio called out and she would laugh at how enthusiastic Mirio had always been whenever he saw her. But things started to get a little more difficult then when the U.A students had to reside at the dorms due to the recent League of Villans ambush.

But, her Best Friend, Amajiki Tamaki, decided to muster up the courage and ask her out on the eve of New Year. She couldn't help but feel proud that he did build up the courage to ask her out, and she couldn't help but get all excited.

They had known each other for such a long time, yet, they hurried the feelings they had for one another deep within their heart where the light wouldn't shine upon. But the more they hung out with one another, the more they spoke over the phone, the more their feelings started to get out of hand.

She was patient when it comes to him, often encouraging him to speak up whenever she feels he could do it. He would try his best, and it would result in her being all proud of him, with the flushed cheeks he had.

He would always try his best for her.

And there was once during a villain attack, he was worried as it was near her home. How he was deployed to help out, and he was the one who had saved her then. He was worried, he wouldn't deny it as he watched her being held, hostage.

And he did whatever he could within his means to ensure her safety, which he managed to do so and retrieved her without getting her injured. He watched her cry as she was shaken from the sudden attack.

A mere quirkless civilian like her would be afraid as she had no power to defend herself. He could only console her as much as he could, and he heard from her parents that ever since that incident, did she not step out of the house for a long time.

Missing out on High School then.

He would drop by as often as he could, trying to ensure she was alright. Those days turned into weeks and he noticed how she was trying her best to get up on her feet. But she could only feel afraid to step out of her house.

Only for Amajiki Tamaki to promise her, that he would be the one protecting her from all harm. He would be her hero then, and she will be safe from villains.

And Amajiki Tamaki knew that promise meant a whole lot to [name].

He looked around, noticing how crowded it was. Yet he realized the important person to him was not near him. He looked around once more, and he turned behind to look, and his lips curled up into a soft smile then.

"You are too far away from me," he spoke out in a voice that as loud enough for her to hear over the crowd. She looked up from her phone then as she reached out, her lips curled up into a smile as her hand was placed into his, where he tugged her along.

"You were going too fast," she pointed out and Tamaki pulled her along, pulling her closer as he took a look at what she was seeing then.

"It was always me who asked you out on the eve of New Years', now it was you who asked me out," she pointed out with a smile as they stood close to one another where they could watch the fireworks display soon.

"I-I figured it would be great to have me ask you out for once..." he whispered out and [name] smiled widely then as she leaned her head against his shoulder, a gesture she always does whenever she was with him.

Showing that she was indeed comfortable around him.

"Look at all the photos we took together," [name] pointed out as she swiped across the screen and showed Tamaki all the photos they had taken together. Most of it was nothing but an awkward smile from him that [name] had always loved.

"Every year I try to tell you of my feelings... But this time... I... Don't want to regret and not tell you," Tamaki thought to himself as he looked at [name] from the corner of his eyes, noticing how she was looking up to the night sky then.

Her head no longer rested on his shoulder as she was intrigued with the lights display, and he leaned over, where he whispered.

"I love you," to her, only for the fireworks to start. His eyes widened as he realized how the fireworks had disrupted his confession, but somehow he felt as if it was telling him something.

Maybe he shouldn't have confessed then, that's why the fireworks started at the same timing of his confession.

"Did you say something?" she asked, and he snapped out of his thoughts. He shook his head then as he denied that he had said anything and [name] smiled as she shook her phone in front of him.

"Let's take a photo," she spoke out and Tamaki hesitantly got into a position where his face was close to hers. He then showed an awkward peace sign, and right before [name] pressed the capture button, she turned and kissed him on the cheek.

His eyes widened at what she had done, and he turned to look at her. His face flushed red and she could only smile then as she looked at how he tried to cover his face with his arms.

"W-Why did you do that?" he asked in a soft voice.

"I love you too," she whispered out and Tamaki felt his heart was about to explode then as he lowered his arms, taking a better look at [name] to see if she was lying. Only to notice that she was dead serious about it, and soon she showed him her lock screen.

"I have been in love with you ever since. And I know you can find me no matter where I am, making me love you even more," she added on and Tamaki couldn't help but pull her into a tight hug then.

"C-Can I..." he whispered out and [name] nodded her head, where he leans in and kissed her gently on the lips then. Despite how awkward he was, he could feel how [name]'s hold on him tightened.

And with that simple confession, did Amajiki Tamaki know that no matter how far apart they were or if the routes they took were different, [name] would always be in his heart.
