51. The family dinner

Aditi's point of view

Dhruv and I both didn't share a word after our kiss. We both came downstairs in silence. When we reached the dining hall, everyone has already taken their seats and a servant who came terrace to call Dhruv and I, severing the food along with Nikita bhabhi.

Nikil bhiya was scrolling down on his phone while Divya looked lost in her thoughts. Gautam uncle was playing with Reayansh and Anuradha aunty was looking at me without emotions. Divya's eyes fell on us and her eyes met with mine. She looked at me for a second and there was no emotions on her face. Before she used to excite whenever she saw me and fight for me to anyone who misbehave with me but now I lost my best friend. I lost the girl, who loved me and I miss her.

"Dhruv why are your top two shirt buttons are open? You never opened them." Gautam uncle asked him.

Dhruv looked down to his shirt and I closed my eyes in embarrassment, scolding myself silently. Dhruv looked at me and my cheeks turn get the colour of hot red when I saw grin on his face.

"I am trying something new papa." He said while looking at me and tuck a strand of hair behind my ear while looking down when he was boring hole to my skin with his heated gaze.

"Oh! That's nice. We should always keep trying new things." Gautam uncle said and Dhruv nodded his head while suppressing his lips in a thin line.

I cleared ny throat and took my seat in front of Divya, who was still ignoring me. Dhruv was about to take a seat beside me when...

"Dhruv, sit here with me." Anuradha aunty daid looking at me and then Dhruv. There were no smile on her face when she was talking to Dhruv.

I looked at Dhruv, whose jaw chenched and hands are fisted. He did not say anything and walked around the table. But instead sitting beside Anuradha aunty he pulled out the chair beside Divya and sit on it.

"Dhruv I asked you to sit beside me." Anuradha aunty saud with little bit rudely.

"I am fine here." Dhruv said without looking at her.

Nikhil bhiya and Nikita bhabhi both looked Dhruv and then Anuradha aunty. I can feel the tension between both mother and son but I am not in a place to interrupt in their family matter. Dhruv looked at me and gave me small smile which was not reaching to his eyes.

After serving the food Nikita bhabhi also sit beside Nikhil bhiya amd everyone started eating.

"So Aditi dear, what have you done in your graduation?" A small smile came to my face when Gautam uncle asked me.

"I am doing my graduation in Bachalor of Arts. I am in my last year of graduation." I said.

"By now you should already completed your graduation. We both are of same age and I am doing my masters. Did you fail or something?" Divya asked me and I can clearly hear the taunt in her question.

"Life is not always as easy as yours. Life can be difficult for someone else. You have to lose something to earn something." Dhruv speak while looking at me and then Divya.

Divya made a sucking face and continue eating. It was clear that Dhruv comment made her upset and now she is angry.

"That's great. What are your future plans dear." Gautam uncle asked me again.

"She only knows how to ruin others future." Tears welled up in my eyes and gulped down the sliva after hearing Divya's mean comment.

"...and you only knew how to ruin someone's mood." Dhruv spated back in anger.

"Will you stop taking her side?" Divya fierce back.

"Will you stop being mean to her? I bring her here so you could meet your bestfriend but since she is here you has done nothing but mean to her all the time." Dhruv greeted his teeth controlling his anger.
