☞︎ THIRD-PERSON POV ☜︎

The three senseis called all the students to the dojo, none of the students knowing why.

Everyone was curious, partly excited for some good news, partly scared that what the three men had to say wasn't going to be good. Everyone talked with each other, trying to predict why they were there.

Everyone except Eli. He didn't really care why he was there, he was just happy he could see Y/n. Not talk to her, or bother her like Eli believed he was doing... just to see her in the flesh.

He stayed quiet. Reserved. His mind and heart going crazy with how much he missed Y/n.

On the other end of the group of students, stood Y/n. She was a part of a small circle formed by a few students.

They all talked; except for one person. Y/n. She nodded her head and smiled at the appropriate times, but wasn't truly listening to what the group was saying.

Eli couldn't see this, but Y/n was missing him too. She started feeling bad for what she did and said, but she knew she had to do one more thing before she could forgive and apologize.

Another thing weighing on her was that she's heard nothing from Henry since he told her about the house inspection. Radio silence.

She hoped everything was ok. She couldn't help but think something bad happened, or maybe they thought Henry wasn't fit to be Clair's legal guardian.

The couple was taken out of their thoughts when Daniel LaRusso, Johnny Lawrence, and Chozen Toguchi stepped onto the sparring deck, calling for everyone's attention.

"We're glad to see you all here. We've got some... news," Daniel spoke. Johnny nodded his head. All the students looked around at each other.

"We know Cobra Kai's plan," Johnny began speaking. "They are trying to enter into the biggest karate tournament in the world. The Sekai Taikai. Dojos from around the world will be fighting for the global title."

Whispers could be heard spread among the students. Johnny continued speaking, "If Cobra Kai wins... then kids around the world are in danger. Not just kids in the Valley. In order to stop this from happening... we have to compete too."

Johnny's last statement rang through the air. The students stood quiet, processing. They weren't sure how to feel.

"The process of admission is rigorous. Unlike the All Valley, we can't just sign up and fight. We have to..." Daniel paused to think of the right word, "audition."

"Sekai Taikai board members will be here day after tomorrow. They will see if our dojo is worthy of admission," stated Chozen.

The three senseis looked over all the students, who stood silently, staring up at them. "We know it sounds like a lot," Daniel said. "But we have full faith that you guys can pull this off."

"Now go home. Get some rest. We're training all day tomorrow," Johnny told everyone.

The students exchanged some worried looks and whispers with each other, as they all went to leave again.

Y/n stayed in place, looking to the ground. Great, she thought, another thing to worry about.

Eli thought silently too. What neither of them realized is that neither of them moved from their spots. Then, almost in sync, they looked up to each other, their eyes meeting. They held eye contact for a few seconds.

Sensei LaRusso and Sensei Toguchi were talking quietly on the deck, but Sensei Lawrence was looking between the two.

He knew something was up. He could see it when he, Robby, the Diaz family, and Y/n all had dinner together. He never had the chance to ask what it was about. But now he would see that it was between them.
