Chapter 128

The next day.....

I woke up in his arms recalling what had happened.
Adjusting my messy hair I saw Zenith who laid down peacefully.

I was delighted to see that and it made me feel easy. Now, everything was going to be fine. All those horrible times were now in the past and I am now looking about how the future is going to be like.

As I watched and said my speech in mind, Zenith woke up.

"Good morning."Leila said, smiling and caressed his hair

"Morning beautiful."He replied and kissed her.

"Ooh. Right. "She teased."You are changing. From that heartless man back there to this caring man."

"I am caring."He said laughing."It's up to you to see that "

Okay ....how are the rest doing?"

"They're all fine. Ezra..."

"About what he did."Leila said and sighed."I'm not sure Kayla will be ready to forgive him."

"What did he do?"

"Ezra bit Kayla and wiped that memory from her."

"What?"Said Zenith a bit surprised."And how is Kayla able to remember?"

"Isosceles brought everything back trying to warn her of his true side. But is he always like that? Going about biting humans?"

That made him shake his head in disbelief."No. There is a bad side of him. A weird side. Since he's not human,you can expect that but........"

"But what?"Leila asked eager to know more.

"I understand what Ezra did but if Kayla doesn't forgive him,he will not be himself anymore. It will be that the Ezra we all know now might not be the one we will see next."

"And how is that even possible?"Leila asked."I don't understand. How is he going to change?"

"People like Ezra do crazy things and crave for most material things and they don't think twice when doing that. If they do something bad to a mortal especially,they have the ability to either forgive you or not. And if they don't forgive the immortal,it curses them. That person will feel the anger and the revenge and no matter how they try to escape,it just holds them back. It gradually changes them into the beast within them and.....I don't want that to happen to my cousin. Kayla must think this twice."

As they talked Kayla's voice echoed singing a fine tune.

She checked the time as was quite surprised to see everyone silent.

She went and knocked the door.

"Hello? Leila "She called."Please tell me you are in there."

"Kayla."Leila said."You're awake."

"Of course I am. Have you even thought of checking the time? It's almost one pm."

To her surprise it was. Leila had to signal Zenith to leave and maybe visit her later for which he was sad to do but he had to. I a blink he was there no more.

"Leila!"

"Just relax please."Leila shouted."I'll be there later."

"Later? Ha! I'm going to school and gladly the festival of joy is back. Live and coloured. See you there in the evening. At seven or else....."

"Fine....fine I'll be there."

And with that, Kayla left and Leila,just staring at the window, wondering.

In the afternoon.......

Finally the lockdown was over which Kayla herself and her loved ones knew the cause.

With happy smiles plastered on her face,this girl reached the school and boldly went in.

"Kayla."Kai waved at her.

"It's been a while coming here."

"Yeah."He sighed."And all that. Let's master the music notes for the last. Tonight is going to be a big night."

"And I can't wait to get it through."

The two sat down as they melodiously played their violin and harp respectively.

As they played,they caught attention from Stephanie and the rest of the students who were also participating in this wonderful event.

"Wonderful."The music teacher praised as soon as they were done."It's a bit surprising to see you still remembering the notes and holding on to it despite the school informing you about its cancellation."

"Yes Mr. Kingsley."Kayla said.

"But now that it has now been resumed why don't we all come back together and start perfecting."

Together they all joined as they performed beautifully.
