---------

It was silent in the car, my head was against the window. "Are you alright?" I was barely pulled out from my trance when he spoke but I decided not to be rude. I pushed myself up and turned to him with a soft smile, "Yeah, just a bit tired"

"If you really want to go home, I-"

"No" I interrupted him quickly. The sad tone in his voice and the frown showed me that he was upset with how the date went. I couldn't just end it like this, being a sour puss, I had to make it up to him.

"How about we go for some food?" He turned to look at me when I offered the idea, studying my expression. When he saw the smile he returned it, nodding his head.

"Sure" His eyes returned to the road, "Where to madame?"

"Wherever is closest"

I didn't know what else to talk about so instead I leaned my head against the window once more, waiting to arrive at our destination.

-

I gripped my head wincing in pain,"Uggggh" I groaned out before sitting back in the seat. This diner had one of the best vanilla milkshakes I have ever had but drinking is so fast was not a good idea. I'm pretty sure my brain broke.

Nick sat across from me, at first he had laughed but then he had become concerned. "Damn, I told you to slow down" He frowned but I could see the corner of his lips twitch.

"You can laugh" I rolled my eyes, rubbing my temple and letting a relieved sigh as the pain began to fade. I tried to ignore his chuckles, but I couldn't help but smile back at them. Nick had such a funny laugh.

I picked at the rest of my chips, my stomach was literally about to burst open. "Thanks for this Nick, I really needed to get out" I shot him a sincere smile and he responded with a short wink. I glanced out the window next to us, watching the cars drive by.

"I'm sorry about earlier"

I turned to him, my brow furrowing.

"I didn't know he'd be there, and I-"

"Let's not talk about that" My stomach flipped at the thoughts of the events from earlier. He tilted his head at the way I suddenly cut him off so I tried to save it, "I want this to just carry on like how we wanted"

He nodded his head in understanding. He eyed my food and when he noticed I was finished waved the waitress over. "Do you want ice cream before we leave?" He asked me and I shook my head, no.

"I'll explode" I laughed and he nodded his head with a smile. He paid the waitress, ignoring my requests of going halves with him. He told me he was treating me, but I couldn't help but feel bad. He stood from the seat and I copied him.

I tugged on my coat and then felt a warm hand around mine. My eyes widened and I slowly made them look to Nick's face but he wasn't watching me. He pulled me along behind him, leaving the diner. My eyes stayed on our hands the whole time.

I wanted to pull away but that would make it one hundred percent awkward. So awkward that I'd probably melt into the ground like a puddle so instead I followed behind him silently. "I better bring you home before your master has my head off"

I nodded my head then remembered he couldn't see me so instead I mumbled a quiet 'Yeah'. He led me to the passenger side and opened the door for me. I climbed in quickly and he shut it behind me again like a gentleman.

He strolled around the front of the car before getting in beside me and starting the engine. "I enjoyed tonight" I didn't like the silence that hung in the air. I looked to see his reaction and smiled when his eyes lit up.

"I'm glad" He grinned, "It's been one of my favorite nights in a while" Wow, his favorite? We didn't even do much except eat and I kind of ruined it earlier.

I didn't bother point that out though instead I just nodded my head. The diner we had eaten in wasn't far from Josueé's so it wasn't long until we arrived there. Once he pulled the car  into the driveway, he rushed out of the car leaving in confusion.

Then he was at my door and pulled it open for me. "M'lady" He winked and I bit my lip, stepping out of the car slowly. Such a gentleman. I returned the gesture with a nod of my head and a quiet 'thank you'.

He walked beside me up to the door steps then stopped outside. I turned to face toward him and quickly regretted it. I knew this scene. These scenes happened in movies, the romantic movies. This was a mistake! I should have just walked on in and said goodbye and be gone forever.

But no.

"Thank you for agreeing to come tonight"

"Thank you for inviting me"

We watched each other for a minute and my heart skipped a beat when he leaned in, his eyes closing. What was I supposed to do? Kiss him?

Suddenly the door jerked open and Nick jumped away in surprise. I looked to the door calmly and noticed Josueé standing there with a frown on his face, "Oh it's just you" His eyes flickered between us.

I glanced to Nick, noticing his face had gone slightly red. "Well, thank you for taking Milania out but now, she has to clean up" He gripped my shoulder hard and tugged me inside the house. I didn't know whether to hate him or be grateful.

Nick's brow furrowed and I gave him a small smile, "Thanks again, I'll talk to you soon". When I said that, it seemed to reassure him and his eyes lit up. He nodded his head before giving me a small wave goodbye then leaving.

Josuee closed the door the moment Nick turned his back before looking down at me, "Well?"

"Well what?" I asked.

"How was it? Anything special happen? Did you give Nick his sexual favors?" He grinned, a suspicious smile appearing. I just shook my head in response, "No sir"

"What about you? Anything interesting happen?"

He narrowed his eyes before shaking his head. "Clean up the sitting room, then the kitchen. You can head to bed then"

I looked up to the clock. If I did it quick, I'd be in bed by twelve, I was good with that. I looked back to him and his eyebrow was arched, "Well? Go on" He brought his hand up and slapped my rear. I let out a squeak before almost hopping off to the sitting room.

I let out a sigh, closing the door behind me as my eyes studied the room. Had he seriously only had one person over? It was an absolute mess, I was dreading on seeing the kitchen. I was surprised he hadn't told me to change into my maid outfit to clean.

He could be strict often but I guess for now he was calm. Probably in a good mood, I'm assuming a girl came over. I began tidying the place up, trying to push the events that occurred tonight to the back of my mind.
