Part Two: Chapter Thirty-Four

Cheers erupted through the room as we walked in and I bit the inside of my cheek. Xander's hand gripped me tighter, reassuring me which made claps louder.

"Xander finally got a girl!"

"You're gorgeous"

"Aww look at them"

People were yelling, some drunk, others not.

His family was... different.

I noticed Eva staring at me with a huge grin on her face. She winked at me and my face went red. People clapped Xander on the back. They were honestly acting as if we were getting married.

"Okay, okay. Leave them be. Can't you see your embarrassing Milania?" Maggie shushed everyone, "Granted you two are adorable together but I'm sure you'd rather not have the whole rooms attention on you"

I shot her a grateful look and she responded with a small smile, nodding her head.

After a few minutes it was back to normal and I let out a relieved breath, "That was horrible"

"Can you imagine how Tina will act when she finds out?" Xander grinned widely. I opened my mouth to answer before letting a cry when I was tackled into a hug.

I looked to see Eva hugging me, "Congratulations! I'm so happy for you"

"Hey, Eva. Where's Seth?" Xander tapped her.

She looked up to him, but didn't make eye contact. Instead just shrugged. I frowned, I thought they were getting along when they walked in but clearly I was wrong.

"Okay, well I'm going to look for him. I'll let you two be" He leaned in to kiss me on my lips, "Later"

My heart skipped a beat.

This would be normal now... we could kiss in public... we were a thing. I was his girlfriend and he was my boyfriend. I sucked in a breath, allowing that to sink in again.

"You're pale" Eva laughed, "Not used to this stuff?"

"I just... it feels weird" I laughed, "I love him and all but it's weird to be so public about it" A huge smile appeared on her face.

"Xander's lucky to have you. You two deserve each other"

I returned it with a sad smile, "You better tell me when you get a boyfriend"

She blushed, "I don't think that will happen" She laughed, "but actually uhm... at the.. never mind" She eyed the room as if feeling people were listening. I grabbed her hand and tugged her upstairs to my old room.

It was still decorated the same and I couldn't help but smile at the hanging stars above that Isaac had designed for me when I first moved in.

I sat her on the bed then sat next to her, "Tell me" I said suddenly interested. Had Seth and her had a secret moment?

"Do you remember the guy who really liked you?"

I shook my head.

"Nick" Oh, "Well... he asked for my number and we kind of started talking. Like nothing's happening and I know he chose you first but still... he calls me beautiful and stuff"

I frowned and her eyes widened.

"Do you like him?! I'll totally back off if you do."

I couldn't help but laugh, "I have a boyfriend now, Eva" That word sounded weird in my mouth.

"Sorry... I just.. yeah"

I frowned, "To be honest, I thought it was going to be something about you and Seth. I mean... you two looked pretty cute tonight"
