"All right boys! Cash in. Race starts in three." James announced.

"Hunter..." Affinity groandd , gripping onto my leather jacket.

"Effie," I sigh.

"I'll be fine. Besides, Luke needs to pay for what he did to you." I growl.

"All he did was vandalize my car and well....steal my phone." Affinity said softly, looking down.

"Exactly. Nobody gets to treat you that way." I said firmly.

"I'm going to go and cash in. Cheer for me alright? Don't worry." I reassured her, pacing a kiss on her forehead.

"Be safe, concentrate." She frowned, as I released my hold on her.

"Promise."

"James! 4000." I yelled, tossing the envolope full of cash towards him.

"Big sacrifice." He shrugged.

I didn't waste any time as I got into the driver's seat of my challenger, ready to beat the crap out of Luke's butt.

The atmosphere was home to me, as I approached my challenger. The coldness of the evening and the cheering crowd behind me was familliar. This dirt road we were about to race on held precious memories, good and bad. Today, i'm determined to add another great memory.

Luke was already ready, stationed at the finish line. "Ready to roll Haddock?" He smirked cockily.

"Ready to roll over you." I snapped.

"Ouch. Lets see where that gets you at the end of this." He said, all up in his confidence.

I have to do this for Affinity. She didn't deserve his torment. Luke is going to pay, literally.

"RACERS ARE YOU READY TO ROLLLLL?" James announced over the speaker system.
