Four months later

Hiccup's pov

"All right gang you know the drill."

"Lets go already!" Snotlout huffed in his lowest volume he was capable of mustering.

"Shutup Snotlout!" Astrid growled, smacking the back of his head.

"Silence is key."

Even though we hadn't talked in months, this was the first thing we had agreed on since then.

The gang and my mum were crouching behind bushes; our dragons were atop the cliff behind us, waiting for our signal to ambush a dragon hunter party that was set to walk right into our path.

My team donned our new dragon suits, each one unique to the rider and their dragon. The first time I saw Astrid in her Nadder suit, I had the urge to comment on how good she looked, but I remembered that we weren't currently on talking terms.

I brought down my helmet and seathed inferno, while the rest of the gang did the same with their weapons as we heard a few voices coming our way.

"Ready to crush some skulls..." Tuffnut smirked.

"And break some bones..." Ruffnut and her twin then performed the most silence headbutt I had ever witnessed from them.

I was quite impressed but also rolled my eyes at their stupidity.

The voices were getting closer every second now. Finally, we could see them hauling two Deadly Nadders and three huge Stormcutters in giant metal cages. The Dragon hunters carried long whips and spears as they poked and prodded the poor entrapped creatures.

"On go." I said.

Astrid readied her axe.

"3...2...1...go!"

Ambush.

They never saw it coming. Our dragons swooped down from the cliff and joined us in our fight as axes collided with swords.

My mother and CloudJumper took to the skies to guide the rest of us and I expertly unlocked one of the Nadder's cage with Toothless's assistance.

"Yes!"

The Nadder burst out of the cage and took flight immediately, escaping the scene.

"Good one Hiccup!" My mother praised from the skies.

I caught sight of Snotlout and Hookfang successfully setting free the last of the Nadders, and I made a mental note to comment on his work after the entire mission was over.

I hurriedly hopped onto Toothless's back and shot up into the air, anticipating to see every dragon rider hovering above the ambush site.

I caught sight of the twins, surprisingly, Fishlegs, Snotlout and Valka.

Hmm. Astrid and Eret were still down there.

"WATCH OUT!" I heard Eret shout from below.

I snapped my head and found that the heavy, empty metal cage in which Eret had just set a Stormcutter free, had tilted and was now hurtling toward a dragon rider.

"Astrid, behind you!" I warned. I flipped up my helmet and outstretched my hand.

It was too late.

I understand you guys are excited. Part 3 will be out soon! 💕
