I hadn't been able to sleep for a few days now.

I was waiting for Elijah to show up again.

I was afraid.

Zaidan had been resting much longer than usual and Zayn had remained silent again.

For all the messages that I left him, you'd expect him to ring or call me. Especially after I had mentioned his so called friend shooting Zaidan.

Some part of me is thinking that Zayn had something to do with this. He knew about the kiss and he's angry about it.

I shake my head and knock on Zaidans door.

"Are you okay?" I murmur.

There's no reply and I clear my throat.

"Zaidan?"

I frown and turn away as I gaze outside the lagoon.

Let him be.

Taking a deep breath I continue outside into the warm air.

Stepping down into the lower balcony, I sit on the edge and dip my feet into the cool water. I pull out my phone and attempt to call Zayn again.

And to my surprise, he actually answers.

Well someone does.

"Hello?"

I frown when I hear a soft female voice.

"Who is this?!" I question.

There's a pause. "Sharjah."

"Where's Zayn?!"

"Master Zayn is sleeping."

Master Zayn!?

I frown. "Put him on the phone and wake him up."

"But-"

"Now!" I scowl.

There's a pause before murmurs are shared and I frown as my breathing deepens a little more.

There's a rustle followed by a short sigh as my heart beats erratically in my chest.

"Zayn speaking." His voice cracks slightly before he clears his throat.

"Zayn!" I scowl.

"Alissa?" He sounds confused.

"Who was that girl?!"

"What girl?" Zayn murmurs.

"The girl who just answered?!" I question annoyed.

"Oh. She's just a slave."

"A slave? Are you at the slave house?!"

He sighs.

"I have to go-"

"Don't do that to me!" I whine.

"Don't do what?"

"Don't just hang up on me."

"I'm sorry-"

I sigh annoyed and hang up on him myself.

Tossing my phone behind me, I bury my hands into my face as my annoyance and needy behaviour grows.

Oh god. Who was that girl?

Now I'm going to be paranoid.

"Everything okay?" Zaidan murmurs from above me.
