Manan: Epitome of Love

Unexpected Reaction

"NANDINI"...Amms screamed and everyone looked at her shockingly.

Even Nandini froze in her place as she has never before heard her name so loudly from Amms mouth.
Manik who was sitting just next to her also looked at Amms dumbfoundedly.

"Dhyan kahan hai tumhara? Kya tum yahan k rules bhool gayi ho? Riyaaz karte waqt dhyan sirf riyaaz mein hona chahiye lekin mein kabse dekh rahi hun ki tumhara mann riyaaz mein bilkul nahi hai."...Amms strict tone startled everyone present there especially Nandini.

(Since the time Amms saw Manik n Nandini hugging eachother her eyes continuously followed them and she was closely observing their expressions. Both every now n then were stealing glances of eachother)

Pin drop silence prevailed in the class and Nandini's head hung low. Tears had already made their way in her eyes which she was with great difficulty holding back.

"Agar mann nahi hai toh abhi ki abhi class se bahar nikal jaao"

And that was it for Nandini. She looked at Amms and the tears that she was holding till now started brimming down on her cheeks. She couldn't take it anymore. She at once stood up and mumbling a sorry ran out of the class.

"Aur kisiko jaana hai class k bahar"...she said sternly looking at the heads that were still looking in the direction of the door.

Everyone at once sat straight and without uttering a word resumed their work.
But there was one person who had already started getting restless.

Manik's pov

What the hell! Why is Amms behaving like this? Aisa bhi kya kar diya Nandini ne? She is so much hurt by her words. Those tears on her face were just ripping my heart in zillion pieces. Only I know how I controlled myself from not holding her in my arms and wiping her tears. I respect Amms. Had it been someone else...I would have buried him in the ground for hurting my love so much. Right now I want to go to her but then again it would mean disrespecting Amms. Pls God...end this session fast.

Manik uninterestingly completed the practice session. As soon as it got completed he tried to move out to see Nandini but....

"Khabardaar tum mein se koi bhi Nandini k paas gaya toh...mere gurukul k kuch rules hain jo mein kisi k liye bhi nahi todti...aur Nandini ne rule toda hai toh usse punishment milni hi chahiye"...she walked away leaving them perplexed.

"OMG! This is a very different side of Amms...truly a Hitler!"...Cabir said while others surrounded him and Manik.

"Amms ko itne gusse mein pehle kabhi nahi dekha...hua kya inhe achanak?"...Mukti enquired.

"How would I know...mein bhi toh tumhare saath workshop mein hi tha"...annoyance for clearly visible in Manik's tone and expressions.

Mukti: Le ab tumhe kya ho gaya...tum kyun itna chidh rahe ho?

"Forget it"...Manik left from there feeling annoyed.

Cabir: U know Mukti...sometimes I doubt ki tujhe love ka true meaning pata bhi ya nahi? (Mukti: Matlab kya hai tera?) Matlab...jab Paaro aansu baha rahi ho toh Devdaas kya dance karega...bewakoof...woh usse bhi zyaada royega. Kuch samajh aaya tere peanut brain ko. (Mukti glared at him and Harshad gave them a "Not now guys" look) Ab tera Bhai tab tak Devdaas k mode se bahar nahi aayega jab tak usse apni Paaro nahi mil jaati...and Amms ne toh strict orders de diye hain ki Nandini se koi nahi mil sakta...so I guess right now there is no point in discussing the matter. Let's us all meet at the breakfast table and see what happens.
