I LOVE YOU

"Pata hi nahi chala kab waqt nikal gaya. Ghar mein kitni ronak thi tum logon ki wajah se...ab kal subah tum sab chale jaoge...aur phir sab suna ho jaayega" Amms spoke gloomily.

Everyone was sitting in the lobby n having a family time.

"Amms...aap aisa kyun bol rahe ho...arey hum phir se aayenge na yahan par" Mukti put her hands around her shoulder and hugged Amms.

"Aur nahi toh kya...ab toh yeh jagah humare liye best holiday spot ho gayi hai...we all promise ki hum har saal yahan holiday manane aayenge...kyun guys"...Cabir's eyes roamed over the faces for the answer and "Of course" replied everyone in unison.

Nandini stood up from her place n sat beside Amms wrapping her hands around her shoulder..." Amms, please aap yun udaas mat hoyiye warna mera bhi mann nahi lagega...mein bhi udaas ho jaungi" she made a cute pout.

Amms took her in a bear hug and smilingly stroked her hair..."Kanna bas...ab itna emotional hone ki zaroorat nahi hai." She held her face between her palms..."Nahi houngi mein udaas...khush"...and Nandini happily hugged her back.

"Maa, kuch din baad aapki bhi classes complete ho jaayengi...phir aap bhi Mumbai aa jaana...aakhir hume Manik aur Nandini k engagement ki preparations bhi toh karni hai"...Nyo said looking at Manik n Nandini.

Nandini blushed hearing that while Manik smiled inwardly.

Raj: Haan maa, aap bas bata dena kab aana hai mein aapki tickets karva dunga.

Amms: Thik hai Raj, iss concert k khatam hote hi mein Mumbai aajaungi. Tab tak tum meri Nandini ka khayaal rakhna...she stroked Nandini's hair.

"Don't worry Amms, I'll take good care of my Nandini...I mean your grand daughter"...before Nyo or Raj could answer, caring words slipped out of Manik's mouth.

All the eyes stared Manik in amazement as soon as he said this and in another second there was a wave of laughter heard.

"Yeh toh puri tarah se gaya"...Cabir mocked and another round of laughter followed.

Nandini drowned into the pool of blushes. She didn't even dare to look at anybody.
But this mockery didn't affect even a bit to Manik. He very cooly got up from his place and addressed the audience in a serious tone.

"Ho gaya hasna sabka. (Everyone stopped laughing n looked at him) Tell me one thing...agar aap kisise pyaar karte hain toh bolne mein hesitate kyun karte hain. Jab hum kisi person ko apni life ka itna important hissa  manne lagte hain ki uske bina saans lena bhi mushkil lage...toh iss baat ko admit karne mein hum sharam kyun mehsoos karte hain. Kyun hum apne pyaar ko sabke saamne show karne mein katrate hain. Humari yahi problem hai...ki jitni baar hume uss person ko iss baat ka ehsaas dilana chahiye ki woh humare liye kya mayne rakhta hai aur hum usse kitna pyaar karte hain...utni baar hum kehte nahi. But mein yeh galti nahi karunga...I love Nandini n she is my life...aur mujhe jab bhi mauka milega...jitni baar bhi mauka milega...mein iss baat ko admit karne mein kabhi peeche nahi hatunga. So yes...( he came n stood in front of Nandini)...Nandini...I love you very very much...he lovingly looked at her and forwarded his hand...aur mujhe iss baat ko admit karne mein koi sharam nahi hai aur nahi mujhe farak padta hai ki log iss baare mein kya sochte hain.

(I loved this dialogue of Baghbaan movie so thought of putting up here as it truly defines the character of Manik)

Nandini who before this was shying n looking down in embarrassment was now sitting with her head held high. Her eyes were filled with reverence for the person who was standing before her with unfathomable love. Today she realized that his love for her was vast and deep like ocean that can't b measured. She proudly gave her hand in his hand and stood up looking into his love showering eyes.
