Seth's POV

I was sitting in the kitchen alone. I hurt her and I didn't mean to. I told Charlize I was going to pass up on the meeting as I did promise Lissa I would spend the day with her but I didn't tell her what was really going on. I was hoping she didn't hear what Lissa screamed. If she did, she didn't say anything about it. But she understood and left. I waited for Lissa to calm down. She was so angry with me. It actually scared me. I sat at the counter contemplating what to do. She didn't want me near her but at the same time I knew she was upset, probably hurt and I didn't want to leave her alone like that. After sometime of fighting back and forth on what to do, I got up and walked back upstairs. I figured I gave her enough time to calm down. I, at least, hoped she was. I got to our bedroom and walked in. She was getting dressed as I saw her hair was wet. She had showered, I realized. I also know that wasn't a good thing when she is upset like that. It meant she was crying as she would use a shower to cover her tears and so no one could hear her. She only did that when she didn't want no one to know she was crying. But I knew better by now. I slowly moved towards her as I was afraid how she would react. She then said in a soft tone, "I thought you left with her."

I shook my head. "I couldn't. I couldn't knowing you were up here so upset." I looked at her and said, softly, "I'm sorry, baby. I really am."

"Don't, Seth. Please, don't." She said almost in defeat.

She was hurt, I could see that. She wasn't angry anymore, just hurt. My heart hurt knowing I hurt her. I moved closer to her and grabbed her. I pulled her into me and said, "I didn't mean to hurt you." She pulled away from me. This stung. I couldn't make this better and that scared me. "Please, love, I didn't want to hurt you."

"Just stop, Seth." She breathed out.

"But I love you, Lissa." I said in pain at this point as she was pushing me away.

"You just don't understand, Seth. This isn't okay. Yes, it might be innocent now. But it could progress and that scares me." She said to me.

I quickly said, "I would never do anything to fuck up what I have with you. I am not that stupid."

"But you have feelings for her." She said to me. "They could develop even more. Most of the time, they do."

"But I won't allow them." I told her.

"You can't even control how you feel now." She only said. She really didn't seem angry anymore, she was so calm now.

I was scared as she was. A calm Lissa wasn't always a good thing, especially in situations like this. "I love you, though. Please, don't push me away, love."

"I can't help it, Seth. This hurts. So much." I saw the pain in her eyes.

"I don't want to hurt you, love." I said to her.

"I know." She whispered. She turned away from me and said, "I need you to go, Seth. I need time alone."

I moved over to her again and wrapped my arms around her. I pulled her back to my chest and breathed, "Please, don't do this."

I noticed tears slip from her eyes and she said, softly, "I love you, Seth. But until you get your feelings in check, I think we should just take some time apart."

I held her tightly. "Please, don't." My voice broke.

"It's what is best, Seth. For now." She only said.

She turned to me and moved her head to my chest for a moment. I held unto her as I said nothing. I felt her cry softly against me. She then pulled away and dried her tears. She looked up to me and cupped my cheek. "I do love you, Seth MacFarlane." She said with a small smile.
