(Y/N): The Nurse

It was the most awful noise you had ever heard. The sound penetrated your ears and you knew immediately what it was. Your body froze and you waited to hear some type of statement that it was just fake. But when an air draft blew a foul smell into your airways, you knew that the chance of this being a joke was slim to none.

"Taehyung?" you timidly asked, knowing you were either going to answered with an "I'm fine" or "Please help."

You only got a groan in return which told you that maybe you needed to intervene. You stood up from the couch and turned around. Your brother was holding his mouth, eyes squinted shut as if he was going to hurl again. Everything he had eaten that day was on the ground and you went to work with getting the mess cleaned up.

You fetched a few towels and a water bottle for your sibling. When you went to approach him, he held out a hand, palm facing you which told you to stop. "Don't come over here, princess. I'll get it cleaned up." His voice was hoarse and strained and you knew his throat was probably burning.

"No, I got it," you responded. You threw a towel over the mess and went to cleaning it, going against your brother's retaliations. But that didn't stop another round of sickness. This time he managed to make it to the trashcan in the kitchen and you were happy to hear that that was the last of it.

You cleaned up everything and took out the trash. You then focused on your brother who was as white as a sheet.

"Do you need a drink?"

"I got something."

"Do you need me to bring down some pillows and blankets so-"

"No."

"Need medicine?"

"No."

"What do you need, then?" you gasped, wanting to help.

"I need you to calm down and stop worrying," he chuckled, coughing a bit from the pain and sudden exhaustion.

"But you just threw up two times!" you countered. "You're not okay!"

"I'm fine, I promise," he reassured.

"No, you're not!"

"Yes, I am (Y/N/N)!" He leaned back in the chair he was sitting in and ran a hand through his hair. "If you want to do something to help me, how about you pour my drink in a cup with some ice, okay?"

"On it!"
