A/N - This imagine is based on the song 'South of the Border' by Ed Sheeran ft. Camila Cabello and Cardi B. I hope you all enjoy it.

Now that you were beyond the Wall, you had begun to wonder whether it had ever been worth coming. Living in temperatures below freezing with little to no shelter every day was starting to get tiresome, especially when so many of the Wildlings had no intention on ever travelling back across of the Wall.

Jon had been so certain that these people would willingly upend their lives for a chance at avoiding the White Walkers, but it seemed he had been wrong. Most of them would prefer to risk their lives here than ever have to owe anything to the Lords and Ladies of Westeros, and you couldn't really blame them. The Night's Watch had been known to treat them like crap, and it had been one of the first things you had attempted to right when you had managed to persuade them to accept you.

You had to admit that it felt good to catch the Wildlings off guard when they noticed you. None of them had seen a girl Crow before, and they were quick to tell you as much. There was no filter on their words on this side of the wall, and you were pretty sure that you preferred it that way. Perhaps, once the Wildlings were living as part of Westerosi society it would become more common practice. You certainly hoped so.

You had quickly integrated yourself into their own little community. Helping with chores and getting on with life whilst attempting to lure them back across the Wall with you. You found that you quiet enjoyed spending time with the women here. They were crude, and loud, and fun. So far from what you were used to, and you quickly fell into their ways.

"It looks as though the Crow has gained an admirer," one of the women started, causing a few of the others to cackle along with her. You felt a smile pull at your lips as you glanced up at her.

"Jon's easy on the eyes," you started softly. "I'm sure he has multiple admirers."

The woman laughed again, shaking her head. "Not him." She smirked over at you, nodding towards where Jon was now standing, talking with a Wildling man, who's eyes remained fixed on you as you glanced in his direction.

"Who is he?" you uttered, pulling your gaze away from him and returning to work on skinning the rabbit in your lap.

You heard her let out a short laugh again, but kept your eyes on your work. "Why? Are you going to fuck him?"

"Crows don't fuck, remember," you murmured, your tongue darting out to dampen your lips. "I'm just curious."

"Tormund Giantsbane," she paused for a moment, catching your eyes with hers and giving you a small smile. "He's a good man."

You let out a snort of laughter and shook your head. "I'm sure he is, but that doesn't change the fact that I took the black."

"Those rules shouldn't apply to young women. You have needs." At that, you released a proper laugh, your eyes squinting as the sound shook itself out of your chest.

She stared at you in confusion for a moment, until you shook your head, calming your laughter. "I wish that the people in the South thought like you," you told her, still smiling as she rolled her eyes.

"Didn't know women could be Crows," a voice interrupted you as you were hanging out your clean washing on a line.

You glanced back at him, recognising Tormund the moment your eyes found him. His voice fit him perfectly, you decided. Gruff, and yet oddly melodic in the way it caught your attention. "They usually can't. They made an exception for me," you uttered, plucking a shirt from the pile beside you and shaking it to remove the creases.

You heard him move closer, coming to stand in front of you, his eyes lingering on your face. "What makes you so special?"

"I was mad enough to actually want to join," you told him, and the laugh that burst from him was incredible. Masculine and loud.

"Mad is good on this side of the wall. Mad keeps you alive," he continued, a smile fixed on his lips as his eyes fixed on yours.

You felt a smirk pull at your lips, and one of your eyebrows quirked in his direction. "I never said it was a bad thing; that was all you."

"Didn't say I didn't like it though, did I?"

You shook your head as you chuckled, reaching for another shirt as both of you fell quiet for a moment. "Will you be coming when we go back to Castle Black?"

"No. I'm not going to run from an enemy I've never seen."

You scoffed slightly, glancing up at him for just a second. "They wouldn't give you much of a chance to run once you have seen them," you told him as you pinned up the shirt, avoiding his eyes as he watched you. "I'm sure they would love to have you join them."

"And you think living amongst people that hate us will keep us safe?"

There was another moment of silence as you finally looked at him. "It will be safer than staying here. The Walker's can't come beyond the Wall, but you can. Why would you risk it?" He remained quiet as you pursed your lips, both of you searching for something else to say. "I think you should come South. It might sound mad right now, but as you said. Madness is what keeps most of us alive."

You weren't quite sure whether it had been your persuasion that had caused Tormund to come South of the Wall, or whether it was something completely unrelated. He had, of course, continued to linger around you, watching you with an intensity you had never experienced before; not even when you had first arrived at Castle Black.

When the Wall had come into view, you had heard him release a deep sigh, a few steps behind you, and you paused for a moment to allow him to fall into step beside you.

"Are you regretting your decision already?" you uttered softly, glancing over at him with a small smile. He nodded as his eyes found you, a half-hearted smile pulling at his lips. "You shouldn't. Jon's got a town set up for you. You won't even have to interact with the Southerners if you don't want to."

"There are a few Southerners I wouldn't mind interacting with," he started, his smile returning in full as you chuckled at his comment.

"You should know by now that I won't give in to your flirting. I'm a woman of the Night's Watch."

He shrugged slightly. "I'm hoping that someday you'll change your mind," he murmured, watching as your cheeks tinted with blush. "I think you're pretty close to cracking."

You shook your head with a small sigh. "Wanting to do something and actually doing it are two completely different things," you told him, watching as his own cheeks turned slightly pink. "And as much as I may want to break my vows for you, Tormund, it doesn't mean I ever will."

"I'll keep waiting. There's no rush," he uttered, giving you a sweet smile before speeding up to catch up with the men at the front of the travelling party.
