Audrey's POV

"Audi can we stop for drinks?" Leah asks

"Of course." I say then lead the girls through Pikes Place Market.

We play Reign FC tomorrow, but today before we have training I'm taking the team around my home town.

When we get to my favorite cold drink place in Pikes Place Market we order some drinks then we wait.

As we're waiting for our drinks I see a man off to the side trying to get someone's attention at a different booth so I walk over to him and wave in his peripheral. The man notices me so he turns toward me.

"Hi do you need any help ordering?" I question in sign language as I speak out loud.

As I start signing the man smiles at me.

"Yes I do. My wife usually comes with me, but she's 8 months pregnant right now and she wants some food." The man signs.

I flag down a waiter then look at the man as he signs and relay the order to the worker

"He needs two Ruebens, a pretzel, 3 plain bagels with cream cheese and a half dozen chocolate chip cookies." I say to the waiter.

"Luckily we just had two Rubens made." The waiter dude says as he boxes everything up and puts it in a to-go back.

The waiter rings the deaf mans food up, the deaf man pays for it, thanks me, then he rushes to his car.

"You know sign language?" Jordan asks.

"I learned it in high school." I admit. "We had a girl on our team who was deaf and she was always alone so I learned it so I could talk with her."

"That's so nice." Lisa says causing me to shrug.

"I just thought that if I was her that I would want a friend so I became her friend."

"Where's she now?"

"She actually just graduated from Harvard with a degree in astrophysics and is now working at NASA. She also coaches an all deaf girls football team."

"You're a really good person you know?" Jordan says causing me to shrug.

"Audi?" Jessie says.

"Yeah Jessie?" I ask.

"How...how did HE escape?"

I'm pretty sure she's talking about my kidnapper.

"He was being transported for a parole hearing and he killed two guards then took the transport van and fled."

"How long was he on the run?" Katie asks.

"A month and some days." I say.

"How'd he find you?" Leah asks.

"The US Marshall's said he had smuggled in a cell phone to his cell and he's been keeping tabs on me." I say then I look at the time. "We should probably head to training now."

"Alright girls great session today." Our strength and conditioning dude says. "You ladies head to the dining hall and get some food in you before we head to the ballgame."

We just finish doing our light training, our tactical briefing, and some weight stuff at my Alma Mater ahead of tomorrow's game.

Now we're gonna go watch the Seattle Mariners play the Miami Marlins.

"Where exactly is the dining hall?" Jordan questions as I finish clipping Balto into his lead.

"Let's go Balto." I say as I stand up.
