Audrey's POV

"BUS TRIP." Katie yells as she and Jessie get on the bus.

"Babe did you grab our snacks?" Jessie asks.

".........I'll be back." Katie asks then she walks off the bus.

We're traveling on a bus for our game at the weekend which is up in Liverpool and we play against Everton.

Luckily Christiane and Pauline's injuries aren't as bad as originally thought so I don't have to play in goal

"Okay I got them." Katie says and holds up her and Jessie's snacks.

"Sweet." Jessie says as Katie walks up the aisle.

"Hi Balto." Katie says when she reach the group of four seats my girlfriend, Balto, and myself are sitting in.

"Are we waiting on Joe again?" I ask.

"Clare and I thought it best if Joe drives himself up to the game." Kim says as I power on my Mac.

"How does he still have a job?" Lisa asks as the bus pulls away from the training ground.

"They're doing an internal investigation." Kim says.

"Then why is he not on Administrative leave?" I ask.

"No clue." Kim says as we head towards the M1

Once we pull onto the M1 motorway Daan puts her legs on my lap

"Comfy?" I ask as I rub my girlfriend's legs.

"Mhmm." Daan says and smiles then she gingerly grabs my broken hand. "How is it today?"

"It's fine." I say.

"Did you talk with your Mom today?"

"Yeah." I say as I open my soda. "She's doing good and the doctors can't find cancer anywhere else in her body so that's good."

"Good." Daan says. "Have you thought about what we talked about earlier?"

After the Champions League night a couple days ago I floated around the idea of me getting a preventative double mastectomy to lessen the possibility of me getting breast cancer like my Mom had.

"I have." I say. "But I still wanna talk to my Mom about what I should do."

"Sounds good." Daan says then she talks to Lisa and Viv, who are sitting across from us

While Daan talks with Lisa and Viv, I take an Astronomy test.

"Whatcha workin on Audi?" Leah asks.

"I'm working on getting my masters degree in Astronomy." I say. "I'm almost done actually."

"When did you start trying to get your masters?" Jessie asks.

"August of 2020." I say.

"What's your GPA?" Tierna asks as I answer a question.

"No clue." I say.

"Audrey has a 4.0." Daan says. "She has a 100 in every class."

"Damn." My fellow American says.

"What'd you have in undergrad?" Leah asks.

Uh a Bachelor of science in Astronomy?" I say.

"No, I mean your grade point average." Leah says.

"Audrey was the Valedictorian." Daan says.

"Well then." Lisa says.

"I never took you for a book worm." Katie says. "No offense."

"It's cool." I say. "Astronomy has always been my strong suit so it was easy for me...still is easy."
