Chapter 99: Marshall

(That's right Marshall's back ladies and gentlemen.)

Being an intern at his father's company has its perks, Peter loved working with his dad and older brother Harley, I mean he and Harley were going to take over the company after they graduated high school. But a certain boy working as an intern caught Peter's eye, his name was Marshall Jones.

He went to Harley and Peter's school, Midtown Tech high school. Ned Leeds, Peter's best friend has tried to encourage him to talk to Marshall except Peter is too shy and would always chicken out.

Today would be the day it all changes, because Ned decided enough was enough so he texted Harley. Harley knew something was up with Peter, he would get distracted, stumble over his words whenever he'd come out of daze. (Also my friend Leo gets credit for coming up with Ned's text name.)

NerdoftheTimes: Hey Harley, I wanna talk to you about something.

SuperiorStark: What's up Ned?

NerdoftheTimes: It's about Peter, he's been acting weird and I'm sure you've noticed.

SuperiorStark: You're going to have to be more specific my brother is pretty weird, but how weird are we talkin'?

NerdoftheTimes: Weird as in he has a crush on someone and is too chicken to talk to them.

SuperiorStark: So, you're betraying your friendship by telling me my brother has a crush on someone.

NerdoftheTimes: Precisely 😏

SuperiorStark: Alright just making sure, but why are you telling me?

NerdoftheTimes: Because you need to confront him, I'll suffer the consequences later, since I'm the only one who knows about his crush.

SuperiorStark: Okay, I'm gonna text him since he's down in the lab, while I'm in my room doing homework.

Harley switched from texting Ned to texting his brother, now that he has the valuable information he's going to do some old fashioned blackmail. The only thing Peter needed to know that it wasn't anything personal.

PotatoHead 💙: Hey Pete, can we talk?

WebHead ❤️: Hi Harley! What's up? Yknow you could come down to the lab right?

PotatoHead 💙: I could but I'm doing homework so... 🤷‍♀️

WebHead ❤️: Okay then... whatcha need bubba?

PotatoHead 💙: You are not allowed to use the nickname I gave you to address to me.

WebHead ❤️: Well I don't have a nickname for you though. 🥺

PotatoHead 💙: Make one up bubba.

WebHead ❤️: I will later, anyway tell me what's going on.

PotatoHead 💙: A source gave me some information regarding you and a certain person.

WebHead ❤️: A source huh? Would you care to explain further?

PotatoHead 💙: Gladly, my source told me you've got a crush on someone, they didn't tell me who it was. But they wanted me to tell you to basically man up and tell your crush how you feel. So do it.

WebHead ❤️: I'm gonna kill Ned

PotatoHead 💙: No you're not

WebHead ❤️: How do you know that?

PotatoHead 💙: Because you're too innocent and pure for that. Plus you wouldn't last twenty four hours in jail.

WebHead ❤️: Wow, the faith you have in me definitely boosts my confidence. 🙄
